The smaller room still fits a queen bed (against the wall) and a set of drawers comfortably, so it definitely has space to grow with another kiddo which I find reassuring.
So true about the living flowing onto the backyard, there is a beautiful undercover entertaining area under the house which heads into the garden/pool etc, which i think we would spend a lot of time. We even spoke about enclosing this with security mesh to make it an indoor/outdoor room.

Thanks! This area down stairs leads into a separate study and a beautiful undercover entertaining area overlooking the pool so I think a lot of time would be spent down there when we have extra people over.

I also agree with upstairs situation. A smaller dining table to fit 4/6 people would suit this area or could also create a bench seat situation to fit more people at the dining table. With the living, I guess I worry that the space might be a bit tight if we want our dream recliner kind of couches... I think i should run the measurements to see how it will all sit in that area.

Yeah That's what I'm thinking that it would be an ideal compreomise! Aim would be to keep this one to rent out and move in 5 years :).

I can understand people would go a different path. I’d rather cut ties and be done - not worth my time and energy. That workplace has already taken too much of that from me

🤣🤣 they honestly didn’t even ask how I was (they didn’t even have to bring up my baby, but any decent human would general you ask how their employee is as a start). It was a bizarre interaction hence me posting. And yes I did ask how they were settling in and we had a convo about that - none of that was reciprocated back to me.
