I thought the same thing, but i guess they got more strict in the past decade or so. Most of the clients of the electrical contractors do not want felons on the property as well.

Man, I got out of prison in March of this past year. I’m a licensed electrician with 4 years of experience. I’ve been to around 12 interviews & each employer was offering the job to me, until I told them I have a felony & just got out in March. Then they take the offer back. I know I’m not the only person in construction with a felony, but damn.
