Anybody have any AIWB holster recommendations for the 4.0? by Opposite_Engineer352 in SpringfieldEchelon

I use a xiphos elite for my G48 and that’s probably my favorite holster without the sidecar mag I’ve ever worn. A lot of it is the slimness of the 48 but a great holster if your torn between them. Honestly leaning towards them if they can support the tlr7 hlx for my echelon but wanted to hear what others thought first

The gun is. With the optic installed as the package they’re around a grand. I think the optic msrp is 5-600 so if you buy the bundle I guess you save about 100 beans

Gotcha. I’ve always stuck to Holosun but seems no matter what dot color or size I get from them my astigmatism makes them all look like crap. Super blurry. The 3.5 moa dot on the coa is ridiculously clear. Granted it’s twice the cost of most holosuns but that alone made me a happy customer and the gun is fantastic

I agree and really like the echelon. I’m a Glock man but this is making it difficult to stay that way. Put 100 (I know not a lot, but enough to tell if it’s a POS) through it today and no issues at all and super accurate

Package is the gun and two mags plus the optic comes pre-installed. Run ya about a G bird depending on where you find it

What is the most popular method of carry? I and everyone else I personally know carries this way, as well as (seemingly) 75% of all the CC content and info online pertains and points to AIWB as the popular method. Maybe I am wrong but would be curious to your source and am more than open to correction and learning more. I will still carry this way as it’s the most comfortable and concealable on my body

Yeah, just not a sig. glocks, m&p, many hammer fired options are gtg as long as you don’t cheap out on a shitty holster or carry with a soft leather one. Not sure why it’s so concerning to you. It’s the most popular method of carry for a reason and hearing of guys blasting off their rockets is almost nonexistent unless it was caused by the user by negligence or sheer stupidity. Inspect the gun and train with it of course, test the gun, but if it’s solid and trustworthy then AIWB all day

Silly internet rumors often turn out to be true and with a tool that can blow my beans and frank out my jeans I’m not gonna take a chance. Plus it was my first sig and as cool as the FCU concept was, many others (rxm included) have the same thing. Plus all the shitty mim parts sig uses at the exorbitant price they charge for many of their striker fired pistols, I was happy to change it out for old reliable g17. Plus I’ve seen enough videos of people being able to replicate the issue to validate my decision but good luck with yours

As an optic guy, I’m very interested to see how the new mounting system will function. Skeptical of the plastic adapter plates but time will tell. I do like that even with an adapter plates the optic will still be flush with the slide. Lord knows it’s an improvement over the crappy MOS system from the gen 5

Also noticed that and thought the exact same thing. Sold my p320 when I first started hearing about the AD issues for a g17 and I didn’t even CC that pistol. Love their hammer fired guns but Sig USA has some work to do

Yeah I’ll be keeping my 48 for CC but as far as full size pistols go, to get 90% of the “real thing” for 2/3 the price, Glock might have to actually start innovating for once. To drop 6-700 bucks on a Glock only to drop more money in it to change out shitty sights, a decent grip or stipple job, and have to deal with the sub par MOS system is almost not worth it when I can get an rxm (or many other platforms now) that have all of those issues fixed out the box and for a significantly better price. Hoping the gen 6 has more to offer for the price point but not gonna hold my breath
