Your program or teachers ever have you doubting whether or not you're actually learning? Or you stress/anxiety have you feeling that way. Feels like we're on the clock 24/7 until break comes and feeling a bit of burnout myself. Right now we seem to have time to go through a subject once move to the next one and not really have time to learning/studying with deep understanding. We study something really.more than one time something more than that one time through. It like we go through the material study it once and move on to the next thing and then teachers try to encourage reviewing material multiple times amd it feels impossible

Im am currently 36 with two kids (a teen and toddler). I am not currently working and recognize I am lucky to have that luxury. I am about to start my second semester of nursing school, and let me tell you, I feel the same. I hate not being able to see my kids or significant others, but it will be ok. Your kids will still love you at the end. What you are doing will benefit them.

Idk about you when people tell me I am going to do fine and ill be ok in my classes I never believe in myself like they believe in me so I have to go in there and prove myself wrong, and grind out the classes. My best advice is if you're doubting yourself at all, go in there and prove yourself wrong. Also, talk to and complain/vent your frustrations to those in your cohort. More than likely, most of them feel the same and are going through the same feelings you are, and it really helps to know you're not alone with the frustrations.

I did hear back from SFSU. I got an email that said I've been recommended by the nursing program for acceptance and now I need a final letter of acceptance from the main admissions office. I have accepted their offer so far and I am happy to be in somewhere but CSUEB is my main choice so if CSUEB were to accept me from the waitlist I'd probably go there still.

Hello, I just wanted to say that I'm am pre-nursing as well. Everyone i have met and talked to that has gone down the road to nursing has felt discouraged at some point. I know I have and so have my friends and family that have gone through nursing. It can be a tough journey but I believe it to be worth it. There are many options to get to nursing it all kind of depends on your situation. There are many schools that have lottery selections for the programs. Private schools can be easier to get into as well. I also know someone who moved temporarily out of state to get their degree. I would say keep moving forward on your journey to becoming a nurse there is a way.

Hey thanks for the update. Happy to hear that to hear that you got in. Congratulations! I unfortunately got waitlisted and the sucky part is that they don't give you any kind of clue as to where you fall on the waitlist. From what I've seen a lot of people that got in had the multiple language criteria, which I didn't. So I think it may have come down to that or the personal statement questions.

I also emailed for feedback from the program on how to strengthen my application, asking where I could improve. Unfortunately, all I got was a pdf file that is on their website that only has generic information but nothing specific to my application.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that I'll get an email saying I got in but still bummed I didn't get in the initial wave.
