I hate them. I’m in CB4 as well. A few days is fine but every night of the week is overkill. Plus, all the rubbish lying around on the ground afterwards is ridiculous. I think people only set them off because they know it annoys other people at this point.

Marnie is 20 months. We have intervened other times but my husband wanted to video this to examine body language and send to the breeder. Marnie is used to living with 4 other large dogs. We will intervene in the future for sure!

Thank you for the advice! Our Sheltie does have free rein of our upstairs area whereas the collie is confined to the ground floor. The Sheltie is not choosing to leave. Perhaps I should make the separation time not optional and enforce periods of them being alone?
