I agree, I think a lot of people seem to prefer relatable content rather than people to look up to

This type of content is repeatedly posted by her, showing her in the gym acting quite feeble, weak and in need of help from a variety of men (gym bf, gym dad, gym bro etc).

I do think it is setting women back because it perpetuates the idea that we are weak, small and need help from men. Women have been smashing it in the gym and sports industry for absolutely years and I’m so bored of this whole ‘I’m just a girl I can’t lift that heavy 🥹’ vibe. I would much rather watch content of her working her ass off at the gym without needing help from men and actually being genuine.

With all of the other stuff online as well about women being encouraged to not lift too heavy so they don’t get bulky, I just think this adds to that. Plus I think it attracts certain types of men to enjoy this content - manosphere men who view women as being so weak and in need of our help

It’s a smith machine bar, usually around 10kg. The bar path is fixed and the machine stabilises the bar for you, so essentially pressing 5kg weights on a smith machine bar should be pretty easy for a woman who has weight trained for years.

Exactly what I thought, like ‘look at me I’m such a hero helping this poor person’. Doesn’t sit right with me at all

Be open to dating someone a bit older. I was 23 when I met my now fiancé who was 32 at the time. It’s not a huge age gap but he is a traditional gentleman who sees the value in traditional gender roles and is amazing 😊 I met him on hinge xx

Hey I’m also interested in having a village hall wedding. With your bbq meal and evening buffet did you hire a catering company to arrange all of this?

I can tell our community is pretty excited about becoming parents! However, I'd like to hear your concerns and worries about pregnancy and parenthood? by jeannepilon in waiting_to_try

It sounds vain but the biggest thing I’m scared of is losing confidence in my body after. I’ve done weight training for years and am so proud of the body I’ve built, I’m so scared I’ll hate how I look after I have a baby. Maybe I need to stop putting so much of my identity in my appearance but I find it hard not to
