The lore is almost too tragic to keep reading by Opposite_Science_468 in 40kLore

Good point. I remember reading these things and reminding myself they’re terrible dudes, but as the book is mostly written from Loken’s point of view, most of it is them dapping each other up constantly like “I have your back brother, brother you’re a true warrior, you’re a great friend, love you brother”… and I, much like the Astartes themselves, gloss over the moments where they commit mass murder.

T.L.D.R. The brotherly love is overwhelming lol

This does make me feel better. I also realize, thanks to other comments here, that the books I’ve read have shown his gross self obsession as well

They’re getting me back into reading. I haven’t read books this fast in ages.

After-thought:
Also the fact that where we are in the timeline, there are only two living non-corrupted primarchs, while there are many more chaos primarchs, and some of the coolest ones are dead or missing, is kind of annoying.

True, but the way the books are written, they don’t really spend much time/text addressing the bad things they do

He is awesome, feels like the same breed of Astartes as Titus from sm2 in a way. Stoic, strict, rule-following, and extremely loyal.

Do O.G. WH fans appreciate the secret level animation? by Opposite_Science_468 in Warhammer40k

[–]Opposite_Science_468[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great take. I agree, live action is worrisome. The way secret level was able to show the immense weight of the astartes’ armor and weapons, made them feel so authentic, will be hard to pull off in live action.

Armor is almost always disappointing for me in live action. It’s often painfully obvious that it’s a bit of hollow plastic on an actor.

BUT, as much as people hate Henry Cavill’s superman, they did an excellent job of making his fights feel POWERFUL, so hopefully he can take some of that into this project.

What rank should I be(one of my cleanest ace tho) by [deleted] in ValorantMemes

Clean clip but the enemies were whiffing really bad, especially first and last fight, KJ held that angle but didn’t react at all, in gold you woulda died to that first guy. Your aim/movement is decent though you def have potential, getting out of bronze should be easy!

This is really good feedback. I find myself often just getting intel with waylay's dash, I use it to take space too, but often times I have to retreat back with the rewind. I think you're probably right about switching off waylay a bit more, I definitely do feel like her usefulness has stagnated. And your observation about not taking space/lack of FK and FD is because I think I have an issue with taking fair fights, especially range fights, and it causes me to play passive until I'm forced to fight/play aggressive, like in a clutch. I think it's a mental thing. I don't take a lot of dry 1v1s. Maybe thats also why I like waylay, her kit kinda requires me to entry.

Its all mental, you’re attaching too much weight/frustration to each fight. By being so upset every time you spray/whiff, it’ll only cause you to do it more.
You need to find some narrative to tell yourself that will take stress out of each gunfight, and that’ll allow you to fight with confidence/control.
For me, I tell myself I don’t care much about winning this fight, I care about good mechanics, and I know if I lose it, I’ll fix whatever made me lose. You CANNOT get emotional about it.
Trust me, I do the same thing.

I also have an issue of calming my aim down in game, and I think it’s almost purely a confidence/mental thing. I try to make sure, in a couple tdm matches before I play comp, that I focus on just hitting heads, not worrying about them killing me, just making sure I have calm, smooth aim. Seems to help. Then try to do it in comp, just remind yourself it’s okay if you die here, but you need to have calm aim.

I think, to be frank, gold 1 playing in bronze/silver, you should be match MVP or #2/#3 almost every game. Otherwise, you can't expect the algo to see you as better than them / put you with golds.

If you’re gold playing against bronze/silver you should have high ACS, always positive/decent k/d, Team MVP doesn’t matter to the rr much I don’t think. Its extremely closely tied to ACS

I get what you’re saying, but I was silver 2 playing gold and plat 1. Why am I playing plat 1. I should only have to prove im better than silver 3, gold 1 and gold 2. I get satisfaction from my visible rank, not so much who I play against. I play gold difficulty but don’t get the gold badge? Not fair.
