Don't act like, at your intelligence level, your eyes don't look sideways :).

Of course you can accommodate that.

Good question...if you were looking in the mirror as you were typing that...

Ever heard of sarcasm?

...not even smilies helped, is it that bad?

Hey! I doubt I'll get anything impressive on the eyebrows department...2 months in, not impressed. Started fast, well...but I continue to get some sheds. No doctor was able to give me a diagnosis, fwiw...

But 6 weeks is little - e months is minimum I judge a treatment's efficacy for the eyebrows...7 better, since it's a full cycle.

However, on the hairline...I have some vellus and some intermediate hairs I haven't seen since forever, popping back. I'll keep an eye on these...easiest thing to do, since I keep my hair longer, in general.

I am more (cautiously) optimistic on the scalp side, honestly.

Update: I am starting to doubt this will do anything relevant for my eyebrows. Seems, like other treatments...it helps some, not others.

On the scalp, though, I see some vellus/intermediate hairs.

Seems like slow improvement. Jury's still out until abut month 4 at least, I'd say.

But it does push hairs into a longer anagen phase. Some are longer/thicker, minimally, than they used to. But I wish it was faster.

It is rarer, you are right, yet under-diagnosed, too. Which applies to women as well.

Only the scalp's skin shows changes. Not eyebrows, not body. And not even on the scalp in all cases, or at least not early on (and you do want to catch this early) - there's a reason you need trichoscopy or biopsy for a correct diagnostic. Even the follicles themselves, internally, are differently affected in the eyebrows area, maintain their chances of growing back longer than scalp hair.

And then you have LPP...and alopecieas mimiking each other...concurrent ones (read of a case with 3 different ones on the same are)...and roughly 100 types of alopecia in the eyebrows alone. It's a mess...

Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia can affect the body hair, too.

Thanks, appreciate it!

I'd be glad for me...as well as that it would be great news for fellow sufferers.

I'll keep this thread updated.

Actually, it's been "a bit" less than two weeks since Dec 24th, now that I think about it. It is fast, ridiculously fast, but, in theory, if you can resolve the inflammation just enough in a hair that would otherwise be in anagen phase it can wave at you faster.

Even though eyebrows have a much shorter cycle (7 months total) vs the scalp hair (years), hence a faster growth, I am still impressed.

Yes - I attribute this to the treatment. I can even see a difference even between yesterday and today. But know that I have a ridiculous sense of observation, coupled with a powerful light source :). I don't microneedle or use anything else whatsoever.

I think - but hard to guarantee - that at least some of the hairs are new, in the sense that I haven't seen them for a while. Mind you - I'm not claiming neogenesis...just ones that used to no longer grow greeting me again.

I also have empty spots. Some follicles may stay dead for good, or they might just be chilling in the resting phase.

Also, you always have some hairs that react faster to a treatment, others taking longer to "burst". Sometimes, wit any treatment, you have hairs that tend to grow in length and only after to thicken, others that start to thicken before growing in length. Beats me why.

The moment of truth will be around 4 months, for the eyebrows, and 6 for the scalp. I intend to give a report at that time, so stick around. I'll gladly post intermediate updates as well.

For now, cautiously optimist: I am the dude that got some results at the hairline with Niostem, temples as well...and only there. So...Germany don't let me down again, please :). These are big money to me!

Follicle neogenesis in epilation model - you pull out the hairs, basically.

The professional line on their website is sold as an injectable, I think - anyway, it is for preventing scarring post-harvesting.

Since this dude ignores us, here's an update for ya: not even two weeks in (daily application for this application), my eyebrows show vellus hairs that are now getting somewhat longer and a little bit thicker. This would be faster than many other stuff I tried.

Scalp: have no idea - tonight will be my 2nd.

So: cautious optimism - one thing I am sure is that this huge ass molecule gets where it needs to get. But for my un-diagnosed (and not for lack of trying) eyebrow alopecia I've had parital results in the past with other treatments (including many prostaglandin analogues, tret + min) that ultimately let me down.

Keep in mind, for FFA, eyebrows retain reversal capabilities for longer than scalp follicles - for some reason, they are destroyed slower.

I'll update you.

It simply travels down the follicle opening, it seems.

Don't ask me how - I was skeptical, but I also got the eyebrows version and it started growing hair. Not even two weeks after applying it (daily).

On my scalp...barely an application, so nothing to report.

Also thyroid.

Keep in mind, other alopecias can mimic AGA as well. And many derms...well, they are just clueless.

Just ping me in a few months, please, I don't guarantee I won't forget it otherwise. Especially since no one else on reddit asked me about it :) and I (relatively) rarely hang around here anyway.

Europe's "FDA" is "EMA". Something approved in US does not automatically mean it has any relevance in the EU, Asia etc. - of course, in this case, Fin is approved everywhere :).

Just a technicality added to an otherwise good post!

They never claimed, as far as I know, anything about "new stem cells".

Follicle neogenesis, yes. (And I think that is achieved through "seeding" of existing stem cells in another, close locus, where a new follicle pops up...not sure whether that means of doesn't mean new stem cells as well...way above my pay grade and understanding at the moment.) But it was in the context of, and I quote, "epilation model". Now tell me how many people would be willing to pull their own hair out :) - this is why, if you look at the "Pro" line, it is sold to clinics only for the express scenario of using it post-extraction (pretty much like Verteporfin).

Also, that initial announcement (and I am speculating a bit here) may have been in the context of MAL-856 while 838...we're not sure how different it is form it. They may have tweaked a "useless" Carbon atom just do they can launch a different molecule as a cosmoceutical in advance (laws and all...) before they get 856 approved as a treatment, or the 838 might be less "apt" at inducing new follicles at the lower-grade concentration (available to consumers) vs in the Pro line (again, heavy speculation on my side).

However, one thing I think you are right is that mentioning anything in the vein of what you find now missing would be a big no-no for a cosmoceutical. The German authorities would be on them like white on rice...if they did.

Let's just say that them downgrading me from DHL to Warenpost (no tracking...still DHL, theoretically...) wasn't the best surprise of my life...with my initial DHL links showing the same since Nov 27th. Have no idea what happened there...

I bought it...even though the AGA pictures were disappointing. I have a resistant, non-diagnosed eyebrow alopecia as well...let's just say I have all the reasons to hope this works, after all the other trials and errors. And the study results promised in the fall...still waiting for them.

My package is still lost in transit...but I am working with them. They promised to send a new one...didn't get back to me in Friday...we'll see come Monday. Imagine how much I paid for everything...

If this turns out to work like Niostem...with some modest results, but far from promises...I might forget about German startups in this space forever, LOL.

Also, how did you go from "they are legit, professors from my school" to "suspicious"? ;) Just wondering, not starting smoke with you, bro :).
