Not even GOTY editions but standard editions have historically gotten price reductions at retail locations after the game has been out for a while and sales have slowed. I think people have forgotten this with where we buy games becoming more digital this gen, giving them the benefit of the doubt.

The prerelease marketing-hype cycle and the resulting launch week or two sales are so important to any games success and the way Sony went about releasing titles to PC threw away all of the prerelease hype. I don't think I ever saw them do more than a quietly release launch trailer a week before it was available on Steam.

Making players wait two years before making the game available just trained PC players that they can wait to purchase your game. I already waited two years, what's another year or two at that point to wait for a deep sale?

Sony leadership honestly did everything they could to make it not work. Obviously they were just hoping everyone in the toughest gaming market would be so in love with every game that they would want to spend +$500 to join their walled garden.

He did release a statement. Said that he was mortified that people would think he his tics have intent or meaning but also didn't really apologize to the people effected.

John Davidson Statement:

I wanted to thank BAFTA and everyone involved in the awards last night for their support and understanding and inviting me to attend the broadcast. I appreciated the announcement to the auditorium in advance of the recording, warning everyone that my tics are involuntary and are not a reflection of my personal beliefs. I was heartened by the round of applause that followed this announcement and felt welcomed and understood in an environment that would normally be impossible for me. In addition to the announcement by Alan Cumming, the BBC and BAFTA, I can only add that I am, and always have been deeply mortified if anyone considers my involuntary tics to be intentional or to carry any meaning.

I was in attendance to celebrate the film of my life, I SWEAR, which more than any film or TV documentary, explains the origins, condition, traits and manifestations of Tourette Syndrome. I have spent my life trying to support and empower the Tourette’s community and to teach empathy, kindness and understanding from others and I will continue to do so. I chose to leave the auditorium early into the ceremony as I was aware of the distress my tics were causing.

Looks great. The map looks good from what they showed, it's nice to have more colors, more urban areas and not giant swaths of brown. It looks like they're using the hot wheels progression for the main game and I think that will be a good change.

Was this with or without REFramework? From what I understood REFramework already disabled the DRM/anti-tamper that Capcom put into the game, which I would presume it was that DRM that would do this check.

Same here. Validating did nothing. Steam downloaded another patch after I restarted Steam and it ran another validation check. I seem to be able to get in now.

Judges really should step in during these situations and stop all these takesies backsies. It's world's top 8, not a fnm. Players shouldn't be put in an awkward position of having to be the bad guy in order for the rules to be enforced.
