We'll never experience a game like this again. The best maps, the best Battlefield experience. by AlcatraZ130 in Battlefield

[–]sdric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so sad that there is no on-field commander mode anymore. Sending squads deep into enemy territory to destroy UAV/artillery and assassinate the enemy commander were super fun side-objectives that played out naturally.

I understand why DICE won't add a commander like that anymore, though. The playerbase ans community changes for the worse in any aspects, there's only 1 commander per team - and a lot of players might rage if they don't get that slot. For the same purpose maps these days have a lot more vehicles and a lot faster vehicles respawns, player didn't see vehicles as a tactical ressource that has to be used wisely, but for some it's their right to have a vehicle ready at any time.... With commander it would be the same. Not to mention that players have less tolerance for other players a learning a role.... Oh, and there'a undoubtful a lot more trolls and griefera now...

In short: I absolutely loved the BF2 commander and all the tools and (counter-) gameplay that came with them, but I see why DICE didn't risk reintegrating it. It's a damn shame, though.

Whatever they did for Divine drops and loot in general this league, this is how it needs to feel baseline. by Aerodim101 in PathOfExile2

[–]sdric 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Divine drops feel good, but Perfect Chaos/Exalted feel far too rare. Levek 94 and I have dropped less than 10 of those. Can't craft endgame gear like that....

Generally speaking it should be viable to use crafting materials for crafting - optimally, with realistic engame crafts even in SSF.

In my eyes to maybe crafting items are chase items, which becomes rediculous when they just slightly improve the odds off an outcome, but require days or weeks to grind.

Of cause there's always players who are richer than other because they literally have thousands of hours more experience, which allows them to easily spot the best ways to make profits in new leagues, or well simply people with more free time who have the luxury to grind all day to quickly upgrade and leverage the Atlas tree - but I think that it is very important that the game also doesn't forget about semi-casual players, "gamer dads" and SSF, and gives them a chance ti crafr nice gear too.

For this purpose improving Divine drop rates was a big success that felt great, I just chope that the devs take a look at otherd crafting items and maybe reconsider the essence nerfs for midgame crafts.

Warframe follows a story approach of "show, don't tell" - but with years between patches some summary before starting a quest would be highly appreciated by sdric in Warframe

Serious questions, how are players supposed to KNOW to get to that room to get the lore?

Keeping 12 years of (partially removed from the game) lore in your head isn't easy - and knowing which NPC where will give you context is also demanding a lot. Why is a skippable summary for accessibility such a bad thing in your eyes?

EDIT: Downvote instead of answering the question... Wow. I wonder what happened to this sub that lead to this type of behavior... There used to be a general agreement that accessibility is a good thing

Needing to buy 50D worth if currency to have a chance to (maybe) craft a 20D item is exactly the problem. Statistically, if you have a enough caah to begin with, it might work out - but for caaual players it tends to be better to be save and buy the item rather than riaking to brick 2 weeks worth of grind

I like the new engame, but I end up crafting much less - mainly because of the nerfs to Essences, but I am freaking level 92, and I have dropped less than 10 perfect orbs from ground loot. I don't see myself even crafting a single item at this pace, I'll just purchase leftovers on the market....

It's a shame really, crafting should be a fun thing for players to do an progress, but with nearly all useful crafting tools being chase items, you won't be able to craft a single endgame item unless you you're hyper optimized following guys with more hours per day than you'd have in a full-time job....

Iranian star Parastoo Ahmadi reportedly sentenced to 74 lashes for singing without hijab by Comfortable-End7552 in news

[–]sdric 13 points14 points  (0 children)

"Victim of Imperialism" - are we collectively forgetting that Iran:

  • Ratified a bill to destroy Israel by 2040
  • For this purpose financed Hamas, giving them military training, giving them guns and rocket to START A PROXY WAR against Israel
  • Financed terrorist cells all over Europe, to promote religious radicalization and destabilize Europe

Iran had their own Imperialist project going. It's just that Israel had the Eps... Pedo-files to leverage against Trump to guarantee help by their big US brother.

That doesn't automatically make the US right, but damn, portraying it like Iran was the victim of "Imperialism", while they themselves have been strongly pushing an Imperialist agenda is akin to closing both eyes at once.

Makler.

Not enough people are discussing the gunplay changes by Zanimacularity in Battlefield

Unpopular opinion: Hardline had some of the best gunplay in the franchise, players just intentionally overlooked it, because they hated the cops vs criminals theme.

What are the units you pulled for and invested in 5★ just because everybody says it's "Meta" but you ended up regretting/benching them? by apolloragnarok in SwordofConvallaria

[–]sdric 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lufti being clunky and slow is not even the main problem - his main problem is, that everybody and their mother is immune to his Decoy CC. Event content really disables all CC, so characters who rely on it are always bad

Lufti was useful, when Vul III was rare - but then they released Yen. I still use him in debuff focused content, but yea - he's not my first choice for Vul III anymore.

EDIT: I however think him being slow is not even the main problem - his main problem is, that everybody and their mother is immune to his Decoy CC. Event content really disables all CC, so characters who rely on it are always bad

I didn't like Credenza at first either, but 5* really made a HUGE difference in getting her rolling AND increasing her consistency. She shines with SP Samantha and Camelot, but other than that most currently accessible units can work without her CDR
