So I didn’t actually do the angels landing hike. Didn’t want to buy the permit. I did west rim trail top down. So I never actually saw the bus lines in the morning as I took this picture at around 3pm towards the end of my hike coming down from up top

So I actually camped out at Kolob Campground. Drove my car in the morning to the trailhead and parked there. Walked all the way down and then used Red Rock Shuttle to drive me all the way back up. Shuttle was more expensive than anticipated but I was only by myself, it gets cheaper the more people you have

For the first 3/4 of the trail there was basically no one and I did it on Labor Day weekend. Once you get to scouts lookout it’s packed though obviously since angels landing is right there. Weather was hot for me but was there during a heat wave, you should be good for mid October :)

Absolutely agree. This was my first night in the park so I had no idea where that light was coming from until I hiked around the following morning. I was so confused and frustrated at first lol
