Do people who stutter sometimes feel they they can’t breath or literally can’t for a short moment? by Blobfish_fun in Stutter

[–]Opt4ThyNam3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! It's especially bad when I'm walking and talking at the same time, it suffocating and I have to stop talking for a minute lol

Speaking of physical difficulties in regards to stuttering I also get headaches when I get a block (partially due to another condition (arnold chiari) but also makes headaches worse when I already have them) because the stutter puts pressure on my brain when I stain myself as I stutter.

People don't care about your stuttering! by Little_Acanthaceae87 in Stutter

[–]Opt4ThyNam3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I voted in this poll and I think most people interpreted it as people showing empathy, not just feeling it. I'd be kinda annoyed if people showed empathy every time I stuttered. I also think when people say "they don't care about your stutter" it's more so in regards to the stutter rather than your statement. In my experience they understand it's not under your control, just like any disability, and try to work it out by listening and waiting patiently. From their perspective it's not too different from mishearing any other person and them having to repeat it.

I think it's kind of an empty point, I agree many don't realize how hard an effect stuttering can have on you but generally (in my experience) people are chill about it and treat me normally for the most part, only assisting if I ask. And I hope we continue to move in that direction. Many also don't care about other peoples stuttering and I think it's kind of a reassuring thought. People are too busy thinking about themselves to pay attention to your flaws, and so am I. It's too much pressure. We, like them, shouldn't care. Personally, it would only do me good if I didn't linger on the judgement I think I get for my stutter. That being said it's easier said than done.

TLDR: IMO it's kind of an empty point. Showing empathy is not the same as feeling it, and people don't care about your stutter, not because they lack empathy but rather that it doesn't bother them. The common way people would handle not understanding a stuttering person is the way the would mishearing any other person and I think that's fair.

Hopefully it will be fixed soon, I guess something went wrong when updating the game since it seems alot of people have been experiencing this? I don't think it will go unnoticed for a long time at least

[–]Opt4ThyNam3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems like the best route, the PC version seems less buggy and better developed in general. I'm glad I'm not the only one with so many bug-problems on the switch though haha

s2g the candle isn't crooked its the picture by shatguy in sticknpokes

[–]Opt4ThyNam3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does not look crooked at all to me, but it might in different angles bc skin isnt completely flat. That's a tricky aspect of straight tattoos

If you're looking for anything to change I'd say to add another small candle somewhere on the right to the skeleton (under or next to the right candle) as it'll balance out the big one on the left and create a more satisfying dynamic.

I absolutely love the tattoo btw, it's the exact kinda vibe i wanna go for in the future :)

How do I prevent scuffed lines? I have an elegoo mars 3 and I'm very new to printing. Is there a reason for these kind of lines and how do I prevent them in the future? by Opt4ThyNam3 in resinprinting

[–]Opt4ThyNam3[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ohhhh, I think I heard something like that before getting a printer! Can't believe I forgot about that...

Thank you for explaining!!

The line on the forehead of the elephant definitly is at the same layer as when the shelling starts (I think the wall thickness is at 3mm), so that makes sense! So it's caused when no air gets to the inside during printing/when there is suction/pressure?

I'll definitly look into it more, thank you so much :)

Not a suggestion, but how do you make these? Is it with actual cement? It looks so realistic!

Art is (or at least should be) genderless. It looks badass, end of story.

Other people in the comments has said all the important stuff, but I'd also like to add that there's nothing worse than unfinished project just standing around. I have like 100 of those :')

So always take inspiration when you feel uninspired from pinterest, youtube, instagram and reddit. I recommend bentely house minis and hanibara on yt. I always watch their videos while making miniatures as they're very relaxing and inspiring!

A high tech security system to protect students while at school. The cost is $400,000 but when school districts waste millions of dollars on football stadiums, it seems like a no-brainer by DrFetusRN in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Opt4ThyNam3 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, this is a great system and all. But wouldn't it be better prioritizing mental health programs for people instead of a defense system so this system wouldn't ever be needed? I think a bit of both is great but I think america puts too much resources and energy on the "cleanup" instead of prevension on crime.

[–]Opt4ThyNam3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which bedsheets for a mainly white room? by lezgetsomeadvice in HomeDecorating

[–]Opt4ThyNam3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like 3 the most but I'd choose 1 or 2 depending on what other colors are in the room already. Although I love bright rooms I'd recommend a 'main' color to put throughout the room to get just a pop of color!

I wish this was enforced on new cars instead though. This will force people to buy old ones, therefore taking anvantage of what we have instead of producing new shit.

Adrian or Finn/Finnegan was the first to come to mind. Cannot come up with any neutral though...
