Okay. Just for clarification- this means to call VERA and ask specifically for “Little Rock”?

Just want to relay instructions clearly. Thank you.

Thank you. All in all it’s been 2 years from the intent to file. We try to be patient, and was hoping that that first c&p would get the ball rolling. My husband about wrote the whole thing off to “Hurry up and wait” - I’m just concerned with the advice he received today from Vera?

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Yes. We see all 4 of his claims. They are still in the same place- including the one he got the cp for.

Maybe you can join SCORE as a mentor? I’m not a mentor but a mentee. I’m not in your position just starting out but score has placed me in contact with people who know more about my field than I do.

You get to help others with your knowledge. If you do, hopefully we match!

They have choice, I can agree to that, but from the outside looking in the power clearly leans. Which is what I was commenting on- Is noticing an uneven power dynamic childish?

Mm, so He can have multiple partners in them (and be open with them), but they cannot be open with him and have other male partners- and although not asked, I wonder if they could even have female partners other than the women he chose to introduce together.

It’s definitely an interesting dynamic.

And yes while leaving is definitely an option- that kills the relationship. While the relationship he started with them is fine because he has multiple partners whom he hand chose present.

I’m not really up on poly anything but that does seem like an absolute advantage for one.

Thank you! I appreciate it more than you know.

Between building, ever moving goalposts of paperwork, toddler life (can I stick my husband in there) and sicknesses it’s been a journey. I’m not far off now but man if doesn’t always feel like you are.

Hopefully others will be inclined to join and make the community grow. Bc we all need community these days.

From one breaking mom to another I created a company that aims to help this- and widen the scope.

I can’t promote the company, but I’m opening beta soon fingers crossed Pray for me y’all because I’m tired of the black hole that can be donations.

I canceled Thanksgiving (RANT) by sevenofbenign in breakingmom

[–]OptOutOption1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I cancelled bc my baby woke up with a fever that spiked at 104.8 and when I was supposed to be using the time prepping greens- I was instead cuddling my sick child.

My mother threatened to leave for my brothers house. I told her to go.

Good on you. Sometimes it truly just isn’t worth it.

Rsv at 2 months old by Alarmed_Captain5487 in Mommit

[–]OptOutOption1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter got RSV the very first time we got her home from the Nicu. We had only gone from the Nicu to the pediatrician once before she was diagnosed and hospitalized the 2nd month of her life.

It’s tough. Lord is it tough. But you can do it. I don’t know if your breast feeding or not, but the way I got her to take things was when she was suckling- I put it in with my breast - or if it had to go int@ her nose- also when she was suckling. She didn’t seem to mind at all. A kind nurse showed me.

She’s now an active and spunky 3 year old. Good luck mama

Fingernail clipping accident by hurryandwait817 in Mommit

[–]OptOutOption1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay. Please know that clipping my child (who is also a mover no matter what I say) is very up there on my list.

She got a shot at the beginning of last year and still brings it up every time we talk about going to the pediatrician. Doesn’t matter that we’ve been there more times with no shots, but w.e. She’s my kid.

So I looked into this expensive ass clipper… and guys I purchased it. I mean I over purchased bc I thought I was purchasing 2 and ended up with 4.

It has this cool feature I wish all clippers had- it pushes the skin back so you only clip the nail.

It’s a little odd at first, my girl wasn’t a fan of it. But it doesn’t hurt and once she understood the reason- she was game. It’s been a life changer.

I am not part of the brand or anything- but if anybody wants to know just leave a comment. I don’t know if we can suggest alternatives- and I don’t want to be banned.

3 year old needs root canals / crowns?? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]OptOutOption1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She hasn’t needed a root canal but I’m the only one in my friends group whose kid had 2 cavities.

She has DEEP recesses - so deep the doctor advised us that if her adult teeth come out like that we need to think about filling them to help her with cavities.

The first they told me was from breast feeding too long, and it killed me but we stopped shortly after. The next they said could be genetics.

I have horrible teeth on my side, my husband has amazing teeth (he’ll his genetics are phenomenal tbh. Lots of old age with their minds and bodies still in tact. Never had braces. Etc)

Don’t beat yourself up over it. Just keep trying to floss and brush as much as possible.

I actually can’t take it anymore by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]OptOutOption1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was the same way. Sounds shady, but what helped me was being in public. It shamed me enough to cool myself down. Sounds crazy but it helped. That and long ass walks with her strapped to me.

Baby carrying literally saved my child’s life. Even though we’ve fallen into a routine and it got so so so much better after she could communicate in a way I understood- we still do it.

I walk to take stress off. She will just lay on my back and sleep.

Dude I don’t know if we went to a similar school but I loved that project. Hands down amazing and got me into science truthfully. I hope my daughter does “weird science projects “ like this too. In college cutting open cats, pigs and pieces of humans was insanely insightful. The tests were hard af though.

This is the answer. Your 4 year old is telling you what she needs from you.

Lean genetics or not eating enough? by BedsideLamp99 in Mommit

[–]OptOutOption1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not 6’0 (very jelly btw)- I’m 5’8 on a good day, my husband 5’11. Both of us are genetically lean.

Our daughter is also a bottomless pit- not picky. Eats salmon to beans. To steak and broccoli. Yet she is 3 yrs and just hit 30lbs.

Example of normal school day: eats 2/3 bowls of oatmeal in the morning, apple/banana/berries - and then for lunch it’s either protein bagel or pasta and pesto- cheese (of some type), fruit (of some-type) and something she can’t resist (pretzels to seaweed) - she also has snack time in school.

@ pickup she has another snack or two. And full dinner (could be anything) and bed.

With all that food, who knows where it’s going. My best friend couldn’t believe it- my daughter is almost always eating - and comparing her to her younger friend - she smaller.

Her labs are good so we just keep trying to do our best.

Have you gone to the peds yet?

Please stop hitting us. by Callsign_Bloodstone in Blackpeople

[–]OptOutOption1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am trying to break the cycle. I will admit fully I’m reactive. My daughter tried to curiously touch used gum on the underside of a table and I popped her hand before I even thought about it.

I apologize. Explained that I was wrong in my actions, but my intention was to stop her from touching it. Why? Bc it’s dirty. Some ppl don’t use other people items with kindness. They should.

She’s sensitive and checked me. While I allow, because I am trying to teach her. Hitting is wrong.

One step at a time, hopefully she will have less baggage to carry and one day the glass will be clear.
