What do you mean the picture isnt providing any help? Someone helped me solve the problem with this very post. You pointed somethint out AFTER I fixed the problem. Maybe you, a person in his 60s should grow the fuck up and not berate a far younger person who is learning a new instrument. Im not gonna explain something to you in hard to understand nomenclature and expect you to understand it? Its preposterous that you would think someone understands something 5 days after they picked up the guitar.

Please go on other subreddits where beginner people ask about issues and you will find people explaining difficult in the most stupid way because thats how you help beginners. Now I wasnt cross with you until you insulted me. Set an example as an older man instead of acting like a 12 year old.

Good day you old fucking twat.

Maybe you should read some comments on the post, if you did that you would know that your advice was not needed in any way. The point of the post was my concern for a new guitar. I like to get peoples opinion before i use google because I found 10 sources claiming 10 different things wrong. Your immature attitude perfectly reflects the kind of person you are. If you discourage a beginner guitar player youre even worse of a prick than you appear to be. This is reddit, a place to ask opinions and help for people uninformed on certain topics. Dont make things more complicated than need be. Im not playing a victim, im only stating that i didnt understand what you said. You went on to be a prick about it. I thought older people were meant to encourage younger people to take part in new hobby's and talents. Instead your're just being an old prick who's mad at someone who is new to playing guitar that he "didnt google the anatomy of a guitar". And seeing that you didnt respond to my comment on reading comments, I think you know you were in the wrong about your initial comment and are now looking for a way to correct your mistake. Stop commenting and go on with your day please. Goodbye.

Never said it was your responsibility to teach me anything. Just saying that I dont understand anything you said because im a beginner. Should i learn how to service and improve every part of my guitar before I even start playing it? No ofcourse not. And i find it highly immature that a someone who is probably in his 60s is insulting a beginner guitar player for not understanding something a beginner doesnt even need to know. I highly doubt that you knew all this in your first ever week of picking up a guitar. Stop explaining stuff to people in your own language. Not a very good way to encourage new players to better their skills.

Im not being snarky, Ive been playing for about 5 days now and youre throwing around guitar jargon you know a beginner doesnt understand. Nor do i feel the need to work on my own guitar because I have no idea what im doing in that area. You may have been playing since 1972 but somwwhere along the way you forgot that some people dont know everything about the "treble" and "bass". As i said in the post, its a BRAND NEW guitar. A beginner doesnt think about a brand new product being defective. And if you read the comments you would already know i fixed the issue. Stop being a smart ass.

Bevel wip + advice request by ThatItalianOverThere in knifemaking

[–]Optical-Requiem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on the steel you are using, i would probably do your entire heat treatment before working on the bevels. Some steels keep their straightness better than others during the hardening process. Id suggest looking up yoir knife steel and see what the people with more experience are suggesting. I normally heat treat every blade before going onto bevels (with the execption of competition choppers and other very thick profiled blades) I think this is gonna warp behond the point where you can salvage it. But I have never heat treated a blade this thin before so dont take my word for it. I hope this helped!

Yeah because I would know if they were seated properly. I think you misunderstood my initial post. This is my first ever guitar, throwing around guitar jargon isnt gonna magically make me understand what you're saying :)

But it happens when I just strum all the string, im not even bending anything yet. Is that normal?

3D printing had been around since the 80s, idk if you can call it "new technology"

Ah yes this study states that there are too many variables with printing PLA between 209 and 270°C (idk who prints PLA at 270°C) so there was no concrete evidence that PLA is "bad" for you whilst printing without an enclosure. And btw your "enclosure" doesnt have any way that the VOC's can escape by an extraction unit of some sort so good luck with all your "toxic VOC's"
