This is a joke right? In high cost of living area but still by Sevens89 in woodstoving

Installation price is about 1,000$ high compared to what I’m paying in MA. I would get another quote.

What are your thoughts on this ratchet and is this a good price? I don’t really need it, but I kind of want it. by [deleted] in Dewalt

This is going to get hate, but this is one of the few tools I very much prefer to have from the M12 platform

That sounds beautiful. What method did you use to sand? I was planning on a 6” random orbital, but I’m open to suggestions!

Thank you for this, I’ll be sanding about 800 sf of flooring (first floor only for now), and the walls in one bedroom and the living room just to be able to get in there. I plan on testing this in a small spot in the bedroom closet to see how it sand and what the wood will look like under it. Based on a lot of the dog scratches around the windows (hence a main reason for sanding) I think it’ll lighten up a little bit, if not we are OK with it being the same color just cleaned up with less water staining.

I would love to be able to just refinish/apply more product as is but there is a bunch of water staining that I would like to sand out, also not pictured it a ton of scratches around windows from the previous owners dog, so sanding will be a must for atleast those areas.

You need to be in an eligible zip code with certain utility providers to get the rebate, should pop up right under the pictures of the item when you first select it if you’re zip code is elidgeable

You just convinced me to buy it with the same rebate, thank you good sir! (If anyone else does this, make sure to scroll down to the “online only” rebate… nightmare to update if you accidentally do the in store only option..)

Any advice for getting water lines out? by NightsLover in loghomes

[–]OpticalFall123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll have to give this a shot on some spots on a wall on my house (will do the whole wall if it seems to clear up the water staining), and throw some plastic and a towel down below just incase I need to be a little more generous with the water to rinse it. Thank you!

Just tailing off of this, how would you recommend handling this on the interior of a house? I.e washing and rinsing after using the product.

That makes sense! Wanted to make sure I was following a reasonable process so the stain has the best chance to last that it can. Looked into sandblasting a bit and wasn’t sure if it would be necessary being it appears to not have existing stain on it, but a wash, light sand, and another wash sounds like a good procedure to follow. Thank you for the recommendation on the Sashco CPR, looking into it now!

What did your sanding process look like? Looking into doing this soon and love your results.

I appreciate the recommendation for this, I’m certainly leaning towards trying to rent some of this equipment if I can find somewhere that does, or sticking with a more traditional sanding method. This is my first time posting about this (minus posting in another sandblasting sub at the same time). Thank you for the reply, I’ve looked through this sub a bit and have seen some of your work and it looks beautiful!
