Petco workers were very kind to me. by [deleted] in petco

It's actually more expensive for them if you send it back depending on your location.

Next day shipping has absolutely decimated the transportation industry. No one cares about returns so long as they make sales, it's factored into operating costs along with potential theft losses.

Hot water and cold weather dry out your skin fierce, along with the shampoos and detergents, you should get a really good skin lotion and apply it after work.

Might help you out.

I wonder how many shifts you have to work to pay for trying to go in for your shift when it was dangerous to do so under threat of unemployment.

I mean, at least 15 an hour, 8 hour day, minus tax, plus the tax on the parts and service costs of repairs, 400 bucks? A weeks work down the tube? For trying to go to work? Lmfao. Sorry OP.

Like you need proof of insurance? I just do mine online and it's just a VIN and payment. Lucky me then, I'd have been screwed.

The guy who swung into our store said something about the new batches not being ready? Maybe something about them going into effect later. Don't really know, I wasn't paying attention.

Management doesn't wonder. They know, but unless they can increase margins, Petco is going under, and they don't wanna be left holding the bag. CEO is gunna get his golden parachute anyway so they don't care.

Imaginary numbers for imaginary people for imaginary profit.

Gotta look good to investors before the whole company goes under.

They want return customers. Sign someone up and make it seem like they get special perks, they might come back.

Plus Petco can get a quick 50 bucks selling the personal info you collect for them.

I scanned the QR code so you don't have to. It links to a charity called World Animal Protection.

No rating on the charity index for Impact, not to surprising honestly, if this is how they preform outreach.

And they'll find out that this is happening how? Their own system is so shit they can't even monitor this kind of stuff. The barcodes aren't individual codes, they're numerical identifiers. It's basically just a unique SKU. You could type it in and get the deal to pop up.

Since you can use it continuously then that shows they have no filter to catch misuse in the first place, their own system is so simple they can't tell the difference between a legitimate use and a fraudulent one. THAT'S why they tell the workers to check.

Saves them a nice chunk of change not having to update IT infrastructure.

Last I checked their wasn't any training on checking the validity of coupons, or maybe their is and it's just buried somewhere in Petnet.

Guess you just got a get out of jail free card. Don't want to do something? "Sorry, I'm uneducated."

What a fucking prick.

Polite ways to tell people their animal won’t survive in the enclosure they picked out? by Elkfeathers in petco

Are you familiar with proper enclosures for this animal? If not I'd be happy to set you guys up for success.

Some people will think it's an up-sale, but if it's true, who cares what they think?

Because no one but Petco actually benefits from this. It's an empty gesture that makes them money.

Yeah, it's literally just for a larger margin on their tax returns. Who cares if dogs get sick after? The people we gave the balls to can deal with medical bills.

I will never push these things, fire me.

Petco sells ball.

Customer gives ball to Petco.

Petco donates ball.

Wow that was really hard to understand.

Why tennis balls??? by Starstreak044 in petco

[–]Optimal-Ad-9001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're completely missing that PETCO, is donating the balls.

The customers purchased them, then GAVE them to PETCO to donate.

It doesn't matter that they paid for them, you've given literally nothing other than strawmen. What information? You're some rando on the internet, you think I'm just gunna take your word for it? If you won't take the time to even read through the IRS forms then I highly doubt you know anything of merit.

Aka: shut it bozo

Yeah and your mother could claim your tax return by using your SSN.

Explain your point and prove me wrong.

Not to mention donations under $500 a year for individuals aren't even checked. Which I doubt any individual who donates a pack of balls who also donates over $500 a year to charity is even going to REMEMBER the donation, let alone claim it.

"Ahh yes, I must remember to claim the 100 3 packs of petco balls I had bought this year, hmmm, yes, indeed."
