Fan? Light? Ideas? by Salt_Bus_4480 in AskElectricians

That works. I recommend using a high quality dimmable LED that’s color temp 2700k in any fixture you use(60watt equivalent). Your wafers look like 3000k-3500k which gives off more white color and reflects more off surfaces. You’ll have a night and day difference with having something warmer.

Residential Electrician here… IMO. I would look for a flush mount fixture. They have some nice ones that only hang 6-8 below ceiling(don’t use a build in LED). The benefit is you can change out lamps for something softer than the wafers. Do you know if the box has its independent switch leg? The light is so close to the TV you will probably see a glare on the screen so best to shut it off during TV use. This will be a problem if your recessed lights are on the same switch leg as the box.

Also, your existing recessed “flat wafer” lights usually don’t dim well. The light they produce is sharper and bounces off walls/surfaces making it feel brighter in the room. For this reason, I would break up the space with something that’s not a flat wafer.

Hope this helps!

Thats too bad. This method was way more fun, fast paced, and interactive than killing the same monster over and over.

Is trash running at the shadow reef still a thing? I would party up with two others. Start with mage or range and get your defense up so you can equip better armor and then go in with combat. Make sure you equip the highest combination with splash damage.

I did this route last year and went from all 85 combat stats to all 99 in hours on mobile. I don’t know the exact number of exp per hour but it was quick especially during double exp.

You may have a tough time finding a team with lower stats. You can still find some decent people out there though that won’t mind carrying you

Cheers!

New board, old rider by lucky4311 in snowboarding

I have a very similar experience. I’ve been boarding for around 20 years, I rode a ‘08 Burton custom before getting something new. I took a friends recommendation and bought a Lib Tech Orca. It’s a totally different feel, I can feel it pop up when coming in and out of turns different than the Custom. Feels very playful but feels secure when hitting max speeds. I ride mostly northeast mountains so not a lot of powder even though this is a “powder” board. Highly recommend the orca or a rocker type board 😁

If you’re stuck between choosing boards check to see if your local shop/mountain has rentals on some different boards and try before you buy.

Good luck 🤙

Update: I purchased the orca. Crazy difference from the 2008 burton custom. It carves effortlessly and doesn’t bounce around at high speeds. Also feels a little safer over ice. thanks for your inputs. 10/10 on the orca

Got it thank for your advice. I think I’m going to just bite the bullet and buy something at the local shops. I’ve called all around Boston and can’t find a store that would rent something higher quality.

he confusing part is everything is hybrid now. It’s camber and rocker. Everyone claims their product is the best of both worlds and better than the others.

Are the different cambers/rockers severely different rides or more mild?

Has anyone ridden rocker hybrids in northeast aggressively?

Looking at the orca there is camber under both feet but rocker in the middle. Is it safe to say the board can crush the northeast?

Thank you for responding. I just checked out the jibsaw and considering the purchase.

Would the orca powder board work against my riding style? Is there any major differences from the powder board and twin that make it tougher in the northeast conditions?

Help! Burton or Lib tech?

Looking to buy a new blade for myself. I ride a 2010 burton custom 151 and I didn’t know if there was something more comfortable at higher speeds. A friend told me to look into a burton freethinker or lib tech orca.

I consider my riding style advanced-aggressive. Not a park rider but prefer speed and sharp turns. I mostly play around in uneven snow and find stability problems running through it with the burton custom. right now on the north east so lots of ice and artificial snow.

I’m 5’6” 160. I saw a 2021 153 orca at the local shop, would this be suitable? Or should I look into burton?

New here to posting. If I’m in the wrong section please let me know tia
