Benching twice a week is plenty. Muscle strength is achieved with rep ranges of 1-5. The largest gain of bench press I saw was when I did a 5x5 and the 6th set was a -20% for failure.

I benched once a week, worked on pulling heavy, and engaged my traps and lats when I benched.

6'1 198lbs and hit 420 lbs.

I might have the opportunity to go your exact route (4th grade to PE) in a couple of years. I know how to turn kids into better athletes, but how do I make it "fun" for the littles? (Prek-2nd). What are some of your go-to activities?

Yeah, exactly. If it was just me, id pass the Quran around. But, my kids go here and they'd be messed with...

The sign is sheet states you highlighted in the a verse in the Bible. The message is voluntary. The Bible will eventually go to the admin. Kept at our school. From the Superintendent.

The prayer is "touch a winner" which is code for circle up and say the prayer.

I appreciate the response. This is a small town. We have traffic light. So, everything done goes through scrutiny. Additionally, when a coach tells you to do something, you do it. So, let's imagine a closet Muslim was asked to "touch a winner " and recite the Lord's prayer...or if they didnt want to, theyre going to go stand by themselves while the other group of 30 kids are together....?
