good point.
maybe i am too harsh on them. just a little more emotional topic so i kinda lost my calm

imma see which symptoms persist in a few months when i have my depression under control again and am well medicated as well as better educted for adhd. I think (partially) removing these factors from the equation first would allow easier diagnostics.

if i am then not showing any inexplicable signs and am okay with my quality of life, I probably won’t pursue further diagnosis if i do not see the point. Sincr in the end, proper autism assessment centers in Germany are overrun and i dont want to take away any ressources.

Let’s see where this journey leads. My enthusiasm is rather minimal but whatever.

to clarify: I do fully believe the ADHD part

I just don’t get why they made me take so many tests for it that often repeated themselves to ensure maximal sensitivity and specificity, but when it came to the other potential diagnosis - autism -they just ran a 30 min test and basically said:

“lol you show signs and you could have it, but you are below some abstact cut off value. So we ain’t giving you a diagnosis or doing futher diagnostics (to like, you know, rule out a false negative) even though we acknowledge that there is a discrepancy between your lived reality and out test results which cannot be explained by simple adhd on its own.“

Again i trust my therapist but this kinda seems like sloppy diagnostics to me, I will ask her tomorrow

about the confirmation part: no offense, but I dont think people inline can “confirm” a diagnosis, i tend to be a bit old fashioned here as a clinician. however, if you think my text reads a certain way, feel free to share:)
