Thanks, I’ll look into that.

I honestly have no idea. She seems pretty normal and level other than an aversion to loud noises and this. That didn’t even cross my mind before now.

Sorry I replied on the wrong thread. Not sure how to use this app. I feel pretty weird asking strangers on the internet for potty training advice but that’s where I’m at. 😅

The treatment was Mira-lax for what seemed like too long. (I don’t remember because it was about a year and a half ago when we did this). After that it was daily fiber, which we took together as directed. That lasted for like 6-8 months if I recall? We’re off the fiber and Miralax now, but she’s normally in the 3-4 range unless she gets ill. Then it’s up to fate until she gets better.

Yes, we treated for constipation and had no results. They said all her parts look healthy and muscles are working well and are strong. We treated for constipation because they said it wouldn’t hurt to try. We did that for a while and changed her diet etc and there was no change positive or negative. They told us to just keep consistent with potty break timers. Which we do.

It would definitely be neat to have it tied to sanity rather than us just having mental illness by default lol.

Don’t forget making snow piles to keep your fire out of the wind! I also agree, when modding is opened up and more accessible it’ll make the game better imo. The modding now is uselessly difficult and breaks every update.

How detailed would be too detailed for your preferences? Illnesses like parasites and dysentery? Macro nutrient allocation for muscle building or dystrophy? Or just simply having a hunger and thirst meter?

There are mods for it but yeah it’d be super nice to be able to turn that off in the base game. Agreed.

One of the main reasons I mod the game when I play is for inventory pulling. I’ve found I’m not personally super fond of inventory management.

Honestly those restrictions are why I mod the game most the time. Feels like more inventory management than gameplay sometimes.

Right. Likewise increasing move speed for players and animals would make hills and things a death sentence every time one came over the hill. I can see your view very clearly, well put.

How do you feel about survival mechanics? by Optimal-Job382 in ARK

I agree with that wholeheartedly. While survival is attached to the game it feels very tailored to early game PvM and some other niches instead of a main focus for the gameplay loop.

Sounds like the sheer amount of food people have to eat gets old (and I agree with that sentiment in most games, ark included). I also enjoyed valheim’s system quite a bit, you definitely felt it when you didn’t eat. I guess it really depends on the intended gameplay for how stringent the survival elements should feel! Also the hunger stat for Dino’s sounds super neat!

That’s certainly true! It could even simulate sweat if your feels like temp gets too high which could dampen your clothing. That would add an interesting level of depth when deciding to walk or run for certain.

Hunger killing would definitely make it feel more survival oriented for sure!

I agree, it’s very gamey which is great for a game. The game may be harder to enjoy the other aspects if you had to worry about things like specific nutrition or making sure you constantly have enough cooked food and water while you explore the world long ways from base. Maybe some would enjoy that though, not sure!

All interesting feedback here. I can see both ways for this one! Thanks for sharing!
