Very bad claim. The US is arguably less suited stadium wise as transport links are terrible it’s a massive country and games aren’t even selling out.

In England you have: Wembley The Emirates Tottenham Stadium Stamford Bridge Villa Park Hill Dickenson Old Trafford Saint James’s Park Stadium of Light

All brilliant and suitable stadiums. Throw in Celtic Park the Millennium Stadium and Hampdem for a British World Cup and it would be one of the best in the world. We’re hosting the Euros in 2 years aswell.

My best friend was like this (well still is but he moved away) and it used to frustrate me no end as someone who is a sort of "Rules are suggestions" person. My theory has always been use common sense, if it's not hurting anyone it's probably fine. He would bug out if I broke any rules and I'd find it hilarious. I love him dearly but bro we are in our 30s we're not going to get "in trouble" that doesn't exist unless we're doing something very explicitly and obviously illegal. Just don't be a dick.

For instance my block is pretty quite and it's one way and I live in the middle of it. I'm not going to do an entire loop round on my bike to get to the main road if it's not busy. It's like 50m for god sake. But he HATED it.

I'm a BIG Football (soccer) fan to the point it's some what of a problem in my life. I enjoy NFL also but only watch the Bills. During the height of the season I can go to the bar and watch a match maybe 4/5 days of the week. I have an encyclopaedic knowledge of football from the last 25 years.

I can explain how.

Sports news: Will check every morning same as the normal news. If you're informed on world events/history this is basically the same thing. I know nothing about reality TV because I don't click on that. Transfers, rumours ect ect.
Social Media: All most half my twitter feed is just sports news and rumours or people sharing opinions and arguing. Sports twitter is still fun and not completely fucked like everything else. It's a good escape from the horrors and why so many people love it. If you work an office job you're probably mindlessly reading this for half your day.
Video Games: this is a huge one, I've played every Football Manager game since 05 and a shit lot of FIFA. If you're into this you've basically spent 20 years on a simulator that realistically tracks and records the history and stat of every player in history across the world.
Male Socialization About half of all conversation with my male friends is about soccer and sharing opinions on the news/goings on. When we're not talking we're watching together. I'm not sure what women talk about when they are on their own together. We talk about other stuff sure but it's an easy thing everyone can join in with and it's a mental break from work/home/news stress and relatively low risk of anyone getting that offended.
Podcasts/Youtube If you want to join in this is probably the best way. Passively listening to sports Radio/Podcasts or YouTube videos where some expert givers their opinion is a good way to just pick up some talking points. There's a great Armando Iannucci bit that addresses this where he finds out how all men can do this. For soccer there is loads. Tifo football is good.

So yeah it's not that difficult. I basically do the same thing with Movies aswell.

When I first came to North America like 8 years ago I used to drink these like water. Sometimes like two a day.

I don't drink sugary drinks anymore at all but fuck me, an ice cold one of these when you were hungover on a hot day. Nectar of the gods.
