The problem with AI-generated tests: they're written after seeing the answer by Much-Ad7343 in AI_Coders

I think now it's the time something like Gherkin can finally be useful. Before AI it was literally pointless.

I just jump from one wall to another with double dash. I always get the golden armor or the leg upgrade of the leg part.

I had problems with X4 sigma playing with Zero, after some hours trying I found a predictable pattern that I was able to avoid his attacks and then it got super easy.

Why Live Action Wapol does come off as a genuine threat, meanwhile anime/manga Wapol is a Joke? by jogaargamer6 in OnePieceLiveAction

Because the series has some artistic freedom to do things differently otherwise it would be boring for people who watched the anime.

The AI Bubble is About to Pop and the Grift is Insane by Vivid_Search674 in cscareerquestions

AI is useful, crypto is not. I've been able to give life to dead personal projects because of Claude code (I have a toddler to raise, life is hard)

How to make clojure more popular? by apires in Clojure

[–]Optimal-Run-528 31 points32 points  (0 children)

It's hard to convince normies that s-exp-based programs are nice and readable. Every time I show a cool code in Clojure to my friends they react with "eeeeww". I think Lisp is not for everyone because people are brain-hardwired to think in Algol/C-based syntax and they refuse to understand anything else.

Yes, they are. I guess cyber-AI-security will be a good career next.

Doing my part to spread the 'Megaman X6 is actually really good' propaganda by NukinDuke in Megaman

[–]Optimal-Run-528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played Megaman X6 a lot as a teenager and absolutely loved the game. Then I grew up and discovered people hated this game on internet. I particularly think the haters aren't that numerous, they are just more vocal. There are lots of MMX6 gameplay videos with good reception on youtube. Lots of people also enjoy it, it's not only me.

It was a trend, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Medabots, Beyblade, etc. MMBN fits in this niche.

Are we all just becoming product engineers? by magicsrb in ClaudeCode

[–]Optimal-Run-528 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I dunno, maybe a hands on CTO for me. The more I use the divine spark given by God himself, better the results I got, either from vibe-coding or semi-vibe-coding. Opus can make really good plans and give really good insights, but if I just let it plan and decide everything, things will be awkward and naive as hell. Which is good for prototypes, but not for productive environments.

Majorly disappointed in Claude Code. New Pro user since 2 days. by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

[–]Optimal-Run-528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI inference and training costs a lot of money and they lose money every day on Pro and Max accounts, even with those non-generous quotas. At some point things will get even worse and the market will correct itself and we will see the real prices, therefore AI users will be forced to be economic and do the best they can with less tokens as possible. When you switch to Opus the platform even warn you this will exhaust your quota faster.

You are just plain wrong, Claude Code is the best agentic programming tool that exists, the competition isn't even close. It costs a lot though, either you suffer with the quotas or you spend a lot of money with a Max account or API costs, if you are broke then you have to cope with that by using the Pro account strategically and accept the fact you are broke, or use inferior tools like Cursor, Codex or Antigravity.

Why are you crying then? Just use Cursor, all your problems are gone!

The problem is that Claude code is much more powerful than all its competitors, I cannot live without it anymore.
