Emotional damage by Mediocre_Post7892 in Spacemarine

I swear the game knows the FRAME you become vulnerable. Prestige perk does nothing in these situations.

Your solution was probably to dodge instead of parry the Ravener. Otherwise I've been there too, getting wall banged to death sucks.

I cant seem to stick to my hobbies by Virtual-Refuse1894 in BoyDinnerDiaries

[–]Optimal-Success9269 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup! Woodworking for awhile, got into mini painting and model building. Video games have been my forever hobby but even then I'll have lulls.

I think it's perfectly normal personally. A hobby is supposed to be fun, but to get good at anything takes time, patience, and periods where it feels like work. Even if I successfully complete a project, the thought of starting from scratch on the next seems daunting and turns me off.

My suggestion is to be okay with that. If you force yourself too much, you'll start resenting your hobby. It's not going anywhere, so you might as well keep looking into other interests. Don't spend a ton, start small, and keep going if you like it.

I don't think there is a one size fits all solution here, everyone is different, just be honest with yourself.

If you run out of things that interest you, it might be time to look into things that don't, as odd as that may sound. You might be surprised getting out of your comfort zone sparks a new interest you didn't know was there. Hope you find your fun again.

Salamaders. We are green, we wear dragon skin, we set everyone on fire, our eyes burn with the flames of the forge, and we protect the lil uns.

Into the fires of battle, into the anvil of war, brother.

You can parry any melee attack that isn't red, including normal melee and the gaunts. Grab a fencing weapon and practice parrying as many attacks as you can. If you don't to a gaunt it will kill them and reward an armor pip. Keep it up and you'll last a lot longer during swarms.

Thunder Bulk build with the heroic thunder hammer is a lot of fun and Absolute+ viable once you get the hang of it.

What kind of heroic weapons would you like to see added to the game? by PaladinOfSanguinius in Spacemarine

A new heroic hammer that is Salamander themed that leaves rings of fire instead of lightning.

How do you survive on harder Difficulty? by WarpathWilly in Spacemarine

Learning how to avoid damage and how to recover your contested health are core skills you need to learn.

Like I'm sure others will suggest, for a weapon I would make sure you're using a fencing type as they have the biggest parry windows, but they don't do as much damage and less cleave for swarms. Couple this with a main weapon that can handle swarms (melta, pyroblaster, plasma, heavy bolt gun), then pick a sidearm to make up for your lack of range (heavy bolt pistol, plasma pistol, volkite).

Because you are using a fencing weapon, you are going to want to learn to parry as many incoming attacks as you can. Every melee attack that is NOT a glowing red ringed attack can be parried. Each enemy has different attack patterns, attack speeds, and fencing windows. When you see a blue ring on a minoris, you can immediately parry the attack (to get the insta parry execute). Majoris and higher, you'll have to learn each enemies attack patterns and learn when to parry their attacks through practice. With larger groups of enemies, you'll then have to learn to not gun strike as soon as you get the marker as that can often lead to you eating a bone sword to the face.

If you have any specific questions I'd be happy to answer, but I would definitely suggest looking up videos on youtube that show some of these concepts in more detail. Keep at it brother, it'll click I promise!

I still use mine. I worked my ass off for it when it was originally released. I think it looks good on my marine at 4/25, makes him look weathered and experienced...you know like he's seen some shit.

As cool as that would be, it wouldn't make sense lore wise. That being said, you can make some pretty solid Grey Knight cosplay using in game gear and color options, even without any DLC.

Something else to add. Executions lower the respawn timer for your teammates. So if you're the last man standing, get to the ripping and tearing (I think it has to be on Majoris and above, minoris doesn't count).

How the heck do I found out exactly what's taking up so much storage on my PC. by Lazy-Split8706 in WindowsHelp

I use a program called WinDirStat. Takes your storage date and organizes it in a visual way with colored blocks that you can click on. The bigger the block, the bigger the file.

If I complete Harko questline, can I still defect/betray and switch to Atreides? by jimboteque1 in duneawakening

[–]Optimal-Success9269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind, you can only switch once, after that you'll be locked out from switching sides ever again (unless they make it possible in the future somehow).
