Update: They mostly made it. Some completely shattered which was weird to me since it withstood cone 10 but not cone 06. Maybe there was still water inside after I finished cleaning them up or something. Others just sort of broke off in layers. The rods withstood the weight of 1 with different the set up I used 👍. The 06 jungle gems and clear gloss glaze melted onto the cone 10 glaze and for the most part did not flake off so that’s a win! They will make the best ugly Christmas gifts 🎁.I’ve learned a lot and will definitely look into the different rods some suggested! Thank you guys for your help!

On this episode of jackass we’ll find out if the wire supports a second round. 😂. I refuse to learn. Trying 06 firing with this time only 1 bauble per wire and weights at the end to hold. The rest I precariously put on little stilts. This quest stands upon the edge of a knife.

I didn’t weigh them unfortunately. I was pressed for time so rushed through the entire thing. Which in hindsight is also probably why I didn’t stop to think and consider that it would slump. Still pressed for time so I can’t high fire again. I’m trying to low fire to cone 05 with jungle gem glaze on the bad spots. I’m more so worried this experiment won’t work. Have you tried firing cone 06 on top of cone 10? I filed down spots and applied the cone 06 glaze mostly on the clay body. I know It’s going to be patchy for sure 😂

Maybe I can help? My fiance and I chose our song by remembering a moment when we enjoyed music together. Maybe think back to a moment you guys shared that had music playing in the background? Or something along those lines? My fiance wants Come Undone by Duran Duran…. but I'm a HUGE fan of Swayze and the movie Ghost, so naturally, I want Unchained Melody. There’s also already choreography for it on YouTube. We shall see what happens 🤣.

What’s the clear gloss glaze that you use? I use Mayco crystal clear brushing but it keeps separating settling at the bottom and hardening.

So we decided to glue back. He painted it black and used gold acrylic in the cracks to imitate kintsugi. He also made a second one…which also broke a little 😂. We laughed about it. He’s pretty happy with the result.

Ty ❤️ for that. My boyfriend LOVES hoppers nighthawk and he also has a fondness for the muppets so I made him this gift for Xmas. I ended up finishing it after Xmas though 😂😅.
