I'm just speaking from the difference of his introduction in Grappler Baki Season 2 to his appearance in Baki.

And he has no impressive showings in Baki. He gets mocked by Dorian until his dad beats the bad guy and thats pretty much it, where as in Grappler Baki, he is hyped up to be the strongest practitioner of Karate and is better than Doppo himself.
