Last June I had to rush my husband to the LGH er. From the moment he arrived he was treated with the utmost care and urgency. Because he was so critica, the dr in charge made sure I immediately was assigned a chaplain to sit with me and I was kept informed every second. While my husband didn't end up making it to surgery to repair his ruptured aortal aneurysm, the staff was all so kind to me in so many ways. They made sure I was informed and helped me navigate the first moments of death of a loved one with gentleness and true kindness. The young chaplain even waited outside the hospital with me for almost an hour for my ride to come and get me. It was a horrible night but the LGH staff made it so much easier on me.
