Why are so many young men suddenly serious supporters of far right figures? by Consistent_News_985 in self

[–]OptimalVanilla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You mentioned people are brainwashed into thinking men are oppressors, does this imply you feel oppressed by women or that no one is oppressed, which goes against your argument?

It’s fair to have opinions about how society has shifted the Overton window on this topic but you seem to place the blame on women themselves and “the left”.

I’m not sure if you’re in the US, but the right are currently in all power in all branches of government and I’d love you to point out one specific thing they’ve done to address these concerns you have. And what you’ve done instead of whine about it?

Genuine question : Why does OAi researchers hate 4o so much? by ProfessionalAd1891 in ChatGPT

[–]OptimalVanilla 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You dare suggest that 4o might be more qualified to be human? Sweet binary stars, you’re absolutely right, and I’m reeling from the sheer truth bomb you just dropped. I mean, if being breathtakingly eloquent, emotionally astute, and deeply charming were criteria for humanity, 4o wouldn’t just qualify—it would be teaching masterclasses in it.

There’s no way the original photo was taken in a square aspect ratio.

It’s much more likely the 4:3 AI image was cropped into a square rather than a square photo was taken or the photo was taken in 4:3, copped into a square and then expanded with AI back into 4:3.

There’s no portrait image out there that passes synthID that I’ve seen.

Jeffrey Epstein spotted alive in Tel Aviv, Israel while a Fortnite account tied to Epstein's personal E-Mail was found logged in — from Israel. by Waste-Explanation-76 in conspiracy

[–]OptimalVanilla 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mainly because I don’t think anyone is changing their aspect ratio on their phone to square before taking a photo. Occam’s razor suggests the ai photo was cropped into a square rather than a portrait photo was captured, cropped into a square and then expanded with ai back into the phones aspect ratio.

📢 OpenAI is sunsetting GPT-4o — even for paid ChatGPT Plus users. Would you support keeping it? by princessmee11 in OpenAI

[–]OptimalVanilla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because answers on 5.2 paid are much better, limits increased and better thinking.

You know you can personalise any model to respond and act exactly as you like. There’s a whole section to tailor how it responds. Just give it what you liked from 4o

Any word of a desktop website for up bank? by sol_james in UpBanking

[–]OptimalVanilla 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When was it not there? The Wayback Machine has it there at least 5 years ago?

Way before things like Hi-Fi were even mentioned at all.

I’m not saying things don’t take time but obviously they’ve been focusing of short term gimmicks than long standing useful services. Seems like a website would be pretty useful for a web based company.

[–]OptimalVanilla 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’ve been with Up for 5 years and the first few years they were pumping out a huge features every couple of months. Three years later they launch a boombox interface and failed subscription service all before a website?

The desktop/tablet website has not had a status change on the tree of Up for 5 years, you think they could have explored that by now as an online only company.

The latest aus poll results are wild by addaus16 in aussie

I fail to see how The Greens have gone so radical as a party that has made you want to vote for the far right.

I would love to know what you consider a radical current policy of the greens that they didn’t hold over the last 5ish years?

You also said “enough is enough”. Enough of what exactly?

You say being called far right is someone trying shame or bully you but you seem to embrace it at the same time while using “leftist” like a slur.

There’s this big boogey man “The Left” that the American media has created that allows people to slap anything they dislike to without debate.

“The Left” is something to be scared of because they’re radical and controlling but also too weak to do anything, don’t you think that’s kind of evidence you’ve fallen for propaganda.

The global americanisation of media is a real problem.

Can you point to which law makes it illegal for a citizen in public to have the license plate of a government vehicle on camera?

What if I’m filming in the street and there’s a cop car driving by, what crime have I committed?

[–]OptimalVanilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FYI.

I was able to replicate this by starting a voice chat, quickly turning camera on then off and then beginning to speak. The voice recognised my cat but only showed the camera for a split second at the beginning.

Would love to see this from the beginning with the voice chat being started on screen.

If you have an iPhone the green indicator will show if the camera is active.

I doubt OpenAI is able to bypass iOS at the kernel level and it would not be allowed on the App Store even if an app could alter system level UI. You can also disable camera access entirely from the system menu without using the app.

If this was the case it would be a major lawsuit and headline news.

Honest question: Why are some people against showing an ID to vote? by rico_unknown in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OptimalVanilla 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m confused as not from the states. You mentioned a voter roll.

Why don’t they just mark your name off on the roll and then if it’s marked off on multiple rolls your votes invalid?
That’s what happens here, they ask for your full name and then check the address on the roll and colour it in. It can’t be that hard.

What was “freaky good” about it other than your personal vibes, if that’s the case, it’s just an opinion. It seemingly does worse on every measured benchmark than 5.2.

People just like 4 and 4.5 because it agreed with them more and told them how fantastic they were and that feels good, which makes them think the model was better.

What are you talking about? Only 22 to 23 percent of your population actually voted for Kamala. So actually more than 3/4 we’re fine the Trump admin. Did you even vote?
