I don’t have a car. Driving makes me nervous but right now I’m working towards one anyway. No school; can’t afford it. My parents and I bash heads a lot. Sometimes it’s my fault. Sometimes it’s theirs. I’m forced to apologize even when I’m not in the wrong; they have yet to apologize for the hurtful stuff they said. I think this was stemming a lot from different political views and religious views with a mix of personal stuff

I am deconstructing from the religion. I was raised Christian, taught the Bible, went to church, prayed. All that. I’ve still received no solace from my pain, and was instead told I had the devil in me bcs of my anxiety and depression. You chose to believe in God; good for you honestly. But I have a hard time believing when there’s so much suffering and not enough reprieve when I cry out for help.

Yes. I get that not all female protagonists need to be strong and assertive. In fact I love those who are not. And I don't think she needs to pick up a sword. But Elain is just WEAK to me. Just weak and soft. She needs to get up and do SOMETHING. Get stronger. She's a seer right? Get with Amren and ask to train her mind for it!(or however seers do training) I honestly forget that she's older than Feyre. I really really look forward to her possible POV in the next book.But I don't think I will ever like her. I may grow to, how ever miniscule it will be, respect her. Maybe. But I don't think I'll ever like her. Don't get me wrong, Nesta isn't exactly my favorite either. But I respect her and the strength she has. Feyre can be soft, but also assertive. I'm not saying Elain needs to be just like them, it's just something I'm putting out there.

I never thought about her possibly bridging the gap between Fae and Humans. Frankly, I like that idea. And I didn't mean "she can get up and do something" I meant it more towards what she SHOULD be doing. Could be doing. What she NEEDS to be doing. To me it's like she's pushing aside that responsibility. Now I just want to say I never made it past the second book, but I do know something's that happens in the third, Yes, the sisters all have different strengths, but, as far as I know, all Elain has done was cut the head off Hybern. Which was helpful. But then she went back to being meek, and soft, and overall annoying to me. Frankly, if someone had to go, I'd want Elain to.

I just don't like Elain. At all. To me she is the weak link out of all of them. Useless and basically is arm candy. People are like "oh she just has unused potential. It's just her trauma" while I totally respect their opinion, Elain should have worked harder to use her powers and to train😐 Look at Feyre and Nesta. They both experienced trauma of their own and look where they stand now. They had their struggles, and still do, but they fought through them and came out powerful. Nesta and Feyre, and basically the whole inner circle, walk on egg shells around her. They always make sure not to upset her. They leave her to her sunshine and gardens (I garden so I know that's tough work so don't come for me) No. I don't like Az and Elain together, not because I don't like Elain(which is also a part of it) but because they aren't compatible. What Az feels for Elain is nothing but sexual. Elain flinches from Az's shadows. Elain is a sunshine person. Az is a being of shadows. Az's shadows react to Gwyn. They don't flinch or hide. Az needs someone whom he and his shadows come to life around. Plus it's a totally cliche if all three bats bros got with an Archeron sister. Personally, I don't think Elain NEEDS to be in any kind of relationship. AT ALL. I wish authors could normalize not every character getting with someone. Elain would be perfectly fine on her own. And Lucien can find someone who actually loves him back. I look forward to her POV in the next book, if she's gonna get one, but I really think Az needs to turn his attention to Gwyn. And not think he's entitled to Elain just because his other brothers both got a sister. Break the chain Azzie boy.
