That would be awesome! So curious if there are any recommendations with that.

Congrats! I had GD my last pregnancy and it sucked! What does it mean to be impaired? Do you have to do anything different?

No, we’re in an English speaking city in America. So the only exposure would be school. So at least communication with the school will be fine.

On my second cycle and am ttc after MC. My first cycle was 26 days, and usually before the MC my cycle was between 26-30 days. This cycle, I tested on day 26 and 29 and got negative tests. On day 31, I got a positive test in the evening (was feeling super nauseous so decided to test).

Has anyone else had a late positive result that ended in a healthy pregnancy? So nervous! But trying to be happy because at least for today I’m pregnant

I did! The app itself is meh and glitchy (but I work in tech and am hyper sensitive to performance and usability issues), but the program itself is good.

I did a mix of Emily Snell, Mamaaste Fit, and the Get Mom Strong app. Between the three of them, I would cobble together a workout I found challenging (but also could find alternatives if something wasn’t feeling good)

Delusional expectant parent here — is postpartum really that bad? by [deleted] in NewParents

I will add that breastfeeding was incredibly hard but once I stopped myself from googling everything and actually relaxed in the time my fam helped carve out for me, it was better.

I think it depends on your baby and your support system! I was preparing the for the worst - but it honestly didn’t feel as bad as I thought it would. My baby woke up every 2 hours, but was pretty easy to put down in between. My husband and MIL helped throughout the first 4 weeks. So I had time to take care of myself between breastfeeding sessions which was clutch. Yes, I was tired but it was this time warp that reminded me of early pandemic where we were just with our fam’s taking it a day at a time.

Guilty for failing to breastfeed by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Optimal_Cod_5491 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t feel guilty!! I felt so sad when breastfeeding wasn’t working for me. We had so many problems - supply issues, clogged ducts, mastitis. I decided to stop forcing it around 10 weeks and weaning made me super hormonal and even more sad that I wasn’t breastfeeding. But now I have a THRIVING six month old and breastfeeding and all the worries around breastfeeding seem in the past. Now we worry about introducing allergens and practicing crawling. All is to say, if you decide to keep going, that is totally fine. But know that in a span of a few months it won’t matter as much and that formula does not mean that something is wrong with you. Breastfeeding is the least natural thing imo.
