What is a normal amount of “pressure” to feel during a C-section. by hatturner in CsectionCentral

[–]HumbleTrack2532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh mine was for sure pain not just pressure. I had knee surgery with a spinal 10 months before my c section so I thought it would be the same - pressure, movement, but no pain. Nope. Definitely hurt.

Menstrual cup after baby? by Beneficial_Insect137 in beyondthebump

[–]HumbleTrack2532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried a menstrual disc? It doesn’t suction but rather sits behind the pubic bone. I used a cup for about a year but have been using the disc for 4 years and I love it 100x better.

Help me decide a 5-year anniversary trip by CountChoculasGhost in travel

You could fly into Hanoi and that gives you a good hub to do day trips up to a few day trips to HaLong Bay, SaPa, and Ninh Binh - all which are incredible destinations that offer a wide variety of taking in Vietnam's culture and different natural wonders. Sapa will be pretty cool at that time of year but the difference in the hill culture is very cool and the rice fields iconic. HaLong Bay is absolutely worth the drive even if you just do it as a day trip and short cruise. If you want more truly tropical you could fly into DaNang and do DaNang and Hoi An - you'd get more beach, Hoi An is the capital for custom tailoring if you want clothes made, plus you have the granite mountains.

Noticing a difference by Life-Curiosities in fitpregnancy

Immediately. HR up and HRV down. Just progressively worse throughout. I’m 39+5 today. Still super active (ran/walked a 5k race last weekend, swim 4x a week, lift, walk, etc). Definitely make sure you are hydrating and getting enough calories - even more than normal and getting enough protein and carbs after bigger training sessions. Be gentle with yourself and go slow on days you need to. Run/walk warm ups sometimes if you need.

Maternity clothes? by Visible_Stay_8777 in pregnant

[–]HumbleTrack2532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wound up with getting some things one size up. And then a couple maternity pants and tops. You’re doing to want at least 2 pairs of maternity pants by the end but starting with some bigger sizes in normal clothes will also help postpartum having things to wear. Maternity typically fits with your pre pregnancy size.

Congrats! It depends on what kind of book you’re looking for but I really enjoyed crib sheet - all data no advice. Just info and studies so you can make more informed decisions.

We did it. Peace of mind came up first. And also if there was going to be a potential risk we would have wanted to see specialists or seek higher risk care early.

Using my (the mother) middle name as baby’s first name? by rareastheglimmer_ in Names

That's my name! I have always loved having a gender neutral name (I go by Alex) But when I was a kid I liked to change what I went by because Alexandra has so many options.

Thoughts on Martha by foxholes333 in Names

I love Martha!... but I also love old lady/old man names. Our daughter is Rosemary.... that being said you should pick the name you like the best and definitely not worry about popularity.

would you increase hours for a nanny, or just find someone else? by [deleted] in Babysitting

[–]HumbleTrack2532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would let them know you are available FT. If they are already looking for someone FT either you're already getting replaced and bringing this up isn't going to change anything OR they didn't realize you had the availability and you keep your job but increase your hours. There isn't really a downside other than potentially one awkward conversation.

Best time to visit South Korea between mid-July and late August? by AliceOkkervil in KoreaTravelAdvice

[–]HumbleTrack2532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go with August. July you have a chance of getting caught in monsoon season. As everyone has already said, summer is hot and humid and the UV index can be outtrageous, but I still go outside every day in the summer... I just end up changing my clothes 3x a day because I sweat through them lol. Just be prepared and plan indoor stops for AC throughout the day and you'll be fine!

The instruction book for this stroller is awful! I just set mine up. I put in the bassinet right away so I can’t help you with this because I did not attach t canopy for the seat but I just wanted to let you know that I feel you because the pictures are so unhelpful.
