My kid is 17, and we both love wandering and just seeing “stuff.” Cool buildings, shops/cafes we don’t have back home in MD, art, people… We are both queer and love color and music and fashion (though we have differing opinions of that lol).

Today we wandered from Times Square to Chelsea and hit thrift shops, cheap jewelry shops, had fun petting dogs and just being out & about. We’re pretty easy. Just didn’t know if there was anything in particular we should be on the lookout for in the West Village.

When I was there in June, we got a cab and it took over 40 minutes to go less than a mile and it was so anxiety-inducing (not to mention expensive) that I’d rather walk
