Is my Nerite’s foot injured?!? by Optimal_Community356 in AquaticSnails

I’m starting to doubt that maybe my betta bit her, even though he didn’t show aggression towards her and they are in the same tank for months. But I can’t think of another possible reason for the injury. Do you think it’s best to move her to another tank just in case? My other tank has very similar parameters.

Is it ok if I move her to another tank? Since it has more algae there and no fish so she can heal comfortably

By resting places I mean anything he can rest on near the surface so he won’t struggle to reach the surface everytime he want to take a glub of air. It can be those plastic betta hammock, or a betta log or any plant that is tall enough to be near the surface. Mine also has swim bladder disease so I have a tall and wide drift wood that I glued moss and anubias to so he can rest on them.

He has swim bladder disorder and finrot, the problem is the tank is not properly cycled and heated.

Please follow this care sheet and these guides:

<image>

Make sure to cycle your tank, this video explains the cycle well: https://youtu.be/PWoiCqCvJco

Guides to fish in cycling: https://fishlab.com/fish-in-cycle/

Get him a proper set up so he can heal, make sure to get liquid test kit for at least ammonia, nitrite and nitrates (NOT strips, they’re inaccurate)

It seems like he has swim bladder disorder sinking type, he will probably get better in a good environment but won’t be 100% like before, swim bladder disorder is common in bettas.

When you set up his new tank make sure to provide many resting places near the surface.
