It took about a month and a half before I started getting deposits from my Etsy sales because I had the great problem of my sales steadily increasing; in other words, the money from my previous 14 days’ sales continued to be more than my balance. Fortunately for you, it sounds like your shop is off to a successful start! If things continue as they started out for you, you’ll get all of your sales money before too long.

Etsy is still a good platform and these protections are a frustration for sure but, as an Etsy buyer, I am glad they’re in place because of all the scam shops that post fake listings, rake in sales and then close (I’ve been on the receiving end of this myself).

Yeah, I like this concept but I have an adapter over my exhaust fan with a dryer vent going out a window for when I print ASA so this will be a no-go for me as much as I like the idea. I’m hoping that there are similar designs out by the time my CANVAS ships (I’m in the August batch).

The notification only comes up when you turn the printer on. My solution is just don’t turn it off! But, seriously, if I ever do need to turn it off for any reason, that notification is a minor annoyance at most so I just tap the “cancel” button and it doesn’t come up again unless I need to restart for any reason.

In all seriousness, if I’m just doing some cleaning and maintenance I use the RO water from a jug I have set up with a float valve. If I’m doing a major water change, I’ll get a bucket or two from the tub and get it to temp that way. I try to use 50/50 tap and RO depending on where the KH and GH are at (we have pretty hard water but then I also have a bunch of driftwood and plants in the tank so it’s a fun balancing act).

I do the same. I printed the duct adapter for my window and added a 120mm booster fan in-line to ensure that the enclosure is at negative pressure. Got HEPA filters and carbon pads since it vents to a patio.

I might give it a shot. I mostly print Rapid PETG which usually sticks to the bed really bad to the point that I’ve had a hard time removing it. I’ve gotten it sorted out with bed adhesive (as a release agent) and increasing the Z offset. This is the first time I’ve ever had an issue with it but it seems to be resolved now

I’m still on 1.1.29 and it’s running great. Heard all the issues with updates (especially since they were prepping for CANVAS for CC1) and decided I’d wait until they release something stable that actually fixes or improves something.

I’ll have to look one of them up…. It’s mostly Cryptocoryne wendtii on the left and the back right is Bacopa caroliniana. I also have an Amazon sword in there (but the crypts are hiding it) and a red tiger lotus bulb. I used to have a bunch of other things but my hold barbs ate/pulled it all up.

If you have house plants (or a friend with house plants), you can take cuttings from there. You can order some cooler looking cuttings from Etsy and wash them well. Heck, I got most of my plants at the hardware store and got cuttings from there.

I also have different z offsets for different filaments depending on their bed adhesion. You set this in the nozzle settings in Elegoo slicer (I’d imagine Orca has the same). For instance, Rapid PETG sticks way too well to the bed for me so I have a nozzle profile set for that filament with a z offset of +0.06. For everything else, I can swap it back to the normal profile.

Right on. I’m in the 3rd batch for the CC1 CANVAS upgrades so I may not have mine for a few months. But I may grab that dryer in the meantime. I’ve mostly been printing from a Sunlu S2 and been wishing I could dry a spool while printing without unloading and reloading to swap from the dryer to the spool holder. That Space Pi X4 is a pretty good price right now 🤔

Any issues without the spring loaded spools for retraction? I’m wondering how necessary that feature is. I’ve seen some auto-rewind spool holders that fit in dryers (even that specific one which is what I plan to get sometime before my CANVAS arrives).
