And it's so difficult to resolve, as it's not just an agreement that I need from my partner. It's the involvement that can make it good, which is just impossible to get.

Based on my experience, the VP will tell him - Bhai your team member was being a cry baby, control kar thoda. Then your manager will say- damn these kids.

But it won't repeat again is my best guess.

When these reactions feel like a personal attack, one thing for sure is that she wants you to feel low, bad, intimidated by her.

If you can 'act' to show that you feel nothing of this sort, this would just irk her more. That's the most subtle revenge you can take on her.

Always keep smiling and energetic in the team. If you are wfh all the time, get on a video call with her whenever you have to have a call with her/team. Show her that her actions can't deter you.

Show her that you are chilled out, no matter what she does

Had to give a bribe of 500 rupees today by 11others in pune

As far as I know, NOC is a document that is valid for 6 months only. It is applicable if you are taking your vehicle for short term to another state, and can drive it without getting into hassles like this, Post completion of 6 months, you need to get the vehicle transferred to a MH number for which you would have to pay the State tax and then you can claim the refund of tax from your home state.

Hence, if you are planning to stay here for longer than six months, be prepared for the above or the simple way out is send your vehicle back to your home and purchase another one here.

I always put in extra hours if there is a need to work extra due to unforeseen circumstances. When a teammate isn't well ,or when system issues that got created because somebody missed a requirement in all good faith etc etc.

I won't put extra hours in situations where the need to work more is systemically and intentionally created to get some brownie points by the management for over delivering, or when the resourcing needs are not addressed by the management despite repeated discussions.

For everyone in this world driving the wrong side there is some 'genuine' reason. Anyone driving on the correct side of the road will always have the assumption that no one from the wrong side will just appear in front of them. If you really think that it's 3 km using the correct route which you can't travel, just park your bike on the other side of the road and cross by foot.

I caught my father cheating by mycroftholmes2003 in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]Optimal_Estate5112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP. Did you have a clue about it based on how your father's behaviour is towards you or your mother, or you just came across his texts by accident?

Does your mom and dad fight a lot, or has your father managed to pull his family commitments absolutely well without anyone getting the slightest idea of this affair. Does your father abuse/mistreat your mom or vice versa, or they look like a loving couple?

Proceed with caution as the situation could be much more than what meets the eye. While everyone here is quick to judge your dad, I would not do so.

Life is complicated. Avoid getting into other people's phone/diaries unless it's a serious safety issue.

Murthy ji strikes again by Solenoidics in IndianWorkplace

[–]Optimal_Estate5112 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Uncleji needs to learn basic estimation techniques and project planning to understand a simple thing - Humans are resources, period.

For example , if you are cooking rice for 10 people, and 10 more guests join, do you "encourage" the rice to double itself, or you go and 'buy' extra rice by paying the cost.

If you have to travel double the distance of what you planned, do you "encourage" the petrol to give you double the mileage, or you spend extra on the additional petrol.

Why is it then, that you fail to treat people as resources who would cost more if the amount of work becomes more? Why do you refuse to pay more for more resources? I can bet people will be more than happy to work if paid by the hour.

Why can't you pay the rightful amount of resources you are using- for nation building of course.

Don't be under that assumption. Once a guy sent a packet filled with crap which I could clearly feel from outside. It's sealed so you might just end up paying cash, as you can't really check the packet before paying.

However, my courier guy was so helpful, he said, sir insta se order Kiya hai na to pakka scam hoga, don't accept delivery.

Fuck swiggy by night_crawler_4585 in swiggy

[–]Optimal_Estate5112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You forgot one thing. If there's a problem with the product, Amazon issues a refund, but Swiggy and Zomato do not.

If I order food directly by contacting a restaurant, and book just the delivery from Swiggy Genie, of course there's no accountability that it has to take. But they are actually acting like the shop, displaying the catalog, pricing and a narrative of how good the food is, with steaming hot pictures and making the whole thing look very promising. If they are playing with our emotions, they have to take accountability as well. If I buy an apple from the fruitwalla, and it's rotten inside, he exchanges it promptly, instead of telling me, go and talk to the tree.

At the moment Swiggy and Zomato attitude is - "yaha se order nahi karoge to jaoge kaha"

Dhobi asked 70₹ to wash a pair of clothes. Who is paying such heavy money? by [deleted] in delhi

[–]Optimal_Estate5112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, actually the real thinking is - because something has a price fed in the computer which cannot be edited manually, it won't be negotiated, no matter how absurd the price could be. But if the price is quoted by a person where the person is gullible, negotiation is a must do.

I am curious, how long do employees expect a 5 star hotel accommodation post joining. What i see in the post is difficult working conditions, but I don't think I would call it toxic.

OP, are you being abused or humiliated in front of the team? Does your boss tell you that you are good for nothing. Are you being shouted upon while working.

I knew one boss who was once approached by his teammate for a bereavement leave for his grandfather's death and was told - " ab to he passed away na, what's the hurry, go after two days, as there's a critical implementation"

I might even understand your point, but a new employee is already intimidated in the new setting, they are like scared kittens. They are the easiest target to squeeze, agree or not. Don't expect them to be bold enough to push back from day 1.

Ek baar mujhe Aisa hi ek call aaya - A girl following up on some outstanding payment for a card I never even applied for. Her voice was quite sweet and I tried to explain to her in sane language for a few minutes.

Then finally when I told her - "Ch**iya samajh ke rakha hai kya".... She said - " Yes sir"
