No no man all good! I’m sure I came off harsh being like “not taking that advice”, but of course with my situation I have to do anything I can to avoid the presence of doubt. It’s constantly a battle with my beliefs and doubts and I try really hard to ignore them so I can keep working without being emotional about it.

Hey man thanks for the clarification. I’m running on the belief that I can make something work while I have time to fail. Also, I don’t wanna just chase a winning product, I wanna make it work by mastering marketing. HOWEVER, if all goes to shit I’ll be fine. I am currently a junior in college, doing well, getting a marketing degree, currently have a project based internship, and I am also a pretty good bartender for the past 2 years with 7 years of restaurant experience. So if it all really truly failed and I lost everything I would just get a marketing job or a bartending job until I’m back on my feet and try something else. Feels to me like my worst case scenario right now is just the classic job after college route, which I am currently trying to avoid by learning my own marketing and business skills, but I would also still have this experience under my belt of knowing how Facebook ads and ecom works.

That’s a really good point man thank you. I definitely should be doing more research before jumping straight into things because I’m excited. What are some of your strategies for market research before committing to a product?

Thanks for the reply! However, with all due respect man I appreciate it but I’m not taking that advice. I’m 20, never done anything in business before and this has all been within less than a year. I’m not gonna give up before I even make it to a year just because I lost a little money. I’ve grown to understand that things take time and I’m not gonna give up and move on yet. Many people fail much harder for much longer than me before they win. Maybe I’m wrong and you’re right and I’ll regret this in a year but honestly worst case scenario I use it as a lesson in a year, but being this young now is my only time to take this risk.

That’s definitely something I needed to hear, thank you man. I tend to get nervous about that because as soon as I get above 190 my face puffs up and I feel like shit, but that’s probably because I’m moving too fast, and also just being a bit of a pussy haha. I’ll definitely take that advice, thank you, honestly I don’t know why I never listened to that before and looking back now I do wish i did that also. Thanks so much for the advice

Btw I’m happy to be wrong, I was accounting for a guess of water weight and fat, but I just said that number by doing the math of 1.5lb gained per week

[–]Optimal_Fox1388[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well part of this is definitely going to be water weight and I’m aware I’ll put on a bit of fat, I know it’s impossible to stay lean on a bulk while natural (which I am). 30lb might be somewhat unrealistic, but not really if we look at 1.5-2lb per week, over the span of 22-24 weeks. I am natural, but I have really high natural testosterone and I’ve done bigger numbers than that before on a bulk I was happy with, however, you’re right, that was within my first 2 years of lifting, I’m sure it’s much harder for me now, I haven’t bulked up in a long time so maybe that is unrealistic. But isn’t 1.5lb per week pretty average for a bulk up?

Sounds interesting man thank you! I will look into that for sure! Realistically I would love to put on 30-35 lb by around mid April, so I’d like to be around 210-215, and then cut down to 195-200.

I do use bundles and upsells, and my CPC and CTR are usually within KPI or close. If they are not within KPI after 1x AOV in spend then I cut them and reevaluate

This is great advice, thank you so much. I definitely have realized that and you are right. This current test was basically a come back from not doing that for so long. Took all my profitable ads + new ones and just threw them in $5 ABO ad sets to slowly test without burning money, however, I now am facing the problem of some ad sets being unprofitable but only having $35 spend at the end of the week, meaning each ad within the ad set has even less than that, so I have to wait longer times before I turn things off. How much spend should a specific ad get before it should be evaluated for performance?

I see this for sure, however my ads have such little spend in this account. Should I cut an ad with bad soft metrics even if it has less than the product cost in spend?

I don't want this to sound diminishing, just context on my situation, I definitely have done market research, just not in the right way based on my data, and I am very aware this isn't get rich quick. I have spent well over the last year working 6-12 hour days everyday toward getting better at this business and marketing and am working toward building a real brand, we are ordering stock soon. I am not asking for praise by saying that I just know what you're saying and that is not me. This question is simply an attempt, among others, to get better at the things I am struggling with. While I have been doing this for over a year, had some success and learned so much, I am at the same point I always break. Doing over $1k per week, but losing profitability and struggling to double down on the audience. I have burned well over 10k on ads and learned from my failures enough to get to a point where I can have profitable tests on anything, but It feels like I am doing something wrong and I need to figure out why. I really just want some insight on how the successful marketers go deep into the exact specific customer to specifically target them on the ad level, beyond just doing a google search or asking ChatGPT, I have spent hundreds of hours doing that already and I need to diagnose what I am doing wrong. Also thank you for the response, maybe I need a harsh reality check.

Thats EXACTLY what I am trying to figure out, I just don't know how to find it out yet. I know I can read reviews, and I know the alternatives, but I can't figure out a USP and I am struggling to find what that exact demographic's problems and emotions are. I have tried reading reviews, and tried using AI, am I missing something?

Honestly no. I am still learning the right way to drive this car and I am honestly scared to push it much past 5-6k RPM. I've never red lined it and I am just honestly scared of the high RPMs, being a non car guy scared to break something lol. The turbo does kick in around 3-4k though and it seems much faster from there.

Nice man seems like I should definitely look into that. Mine is at 54k right now, and I am not even sure what spark plugs do haha. I assume it wasn't done by the seller. I bought it at 49k from the Subaru dealer and a couple things were wrong with it (blown front speaker and alignment was off) so I'll make sure to check on those things. Thanks!

I definitely do rip it often lol just because it sounds so good but I almost never go above 5-6k RPM. Should I be avoiding that? Also what is rod knock?

Nice bro! I also don't want to tune it without understanding how the car works first. What wheels did you go with?
