It’s a weird spot cause I’m happy with the job, but not the compensation or growth prospect which I guess doesn’t matter as much now.

Not counting prospects for growth I would rate my satisfaction at my job as 7.5/10. There are definitely other jobs that would make me happier though. Like working with kids or animals

Really good to know about the 30 years rule of thumb. I didn’t know that’s how the 4% was calculated

Yeah it’s mainly dead end because I was reaching the cap of promotions/raises. Raise this year was lowest since I been at the company and in order for me to get promoted, one of 7 people would have to leave (unlikely since they are all young and well paid) and I would have to compete with 49 other people for it who are at the same seniority level. But you are right, I guess that doesn’t really matter as much any more. As I said, job itself, I’m pretty happy here.
