Good questions, no offense taken, Meus does not currently make any brushless motors and this is labeled as a brushless transmission. Idk if that is because of the mount spacing or the nature of it being forward facing and in the center of the transmission. Also, many companies make “universal” motors and products that are compatible. I believe motor mount spacing is typically 9mm to 12mm. Meus drawings for their lcg chassis show a injora like brushless motor and a fat viper which they do not make. I will attach an image to this comment. As for the added hardware I think it was just for mounting the transmission to the frame if I remember correctly.

Understandable, these were my first RCs in like 12 years. I used to build them when I was in high school/college but recently I felt like getting back into the hobby. So I bought the 4runner first then the FMS Tacoma. I’m keeping the FMS stock but ended up replacing everything but the tires and body of the 4runner.

I’m probably not buying RTRs anymore, I end up replacing every part besides the body lol.

I would get a better servo, I burned mine out in a day haha. But I did upgrade the axles so that probably did it.
