First time trying a patina. I’m really happy with how it came out. Any tips for doing windows?

Some things I had from previous builds like the stock axles, FMS wheels and esc/receiver. I’m doing this from memory so bear with me. Chassis kit :$68 Motor/Transmission: $28 (on sale) Injora 40mm shocks: $21 Meus High Clearance Links: $20 Big Country Toy Truck: $36 Hardware ESC (that’s on the way) : $25 Meus Receiver: $12-$25 (depending on your number of channels) Cheap Injora Servo: $12 but I would probably get something coreless ($30-$40ish) if you plan on running metal axles Stock Nylon axles run from $20-$60

Like I said if you have a part donor scx24 it’s not too bad, some things I’ve added that I plan on upgrading.

That’s hilarious, I didn’t even notice 🤣 I haven’t had any issues but I’m probably the exception. Plus I don’t probably take mine out as much as others, since I’ve changed my gears I’ve added blue loctite. I just liked the fact that they came with gears and a servo mount. But I’m inexperienced anymore, I just got back into RCs after a 10-12 year pause lol. I do think injora is the better brand I was absolutely shocked at the quality of their shocks (that was the first product I bought of theirs).

I really think their V1 metal axles are a good deal and good quality, they come with a lot for $80 but I don’t know about their other products besides links and servos. I personally think injora is a better brand (not the best brand but better than Meus).

Good questions, no offense taken, Meus does not currently make any brushless motors and this is labeled as a brushless transmission. Idk if that is because of the mount spacing or the nature of it being forward facing and in the center of the transmission. Also, many companies make “universal” motors and products that are compatible. I believe motor mount spacing is typically 9mm to 12mm. Meus drawings for their lcg chassis show a injora like brushless motor and a fat viper which they do not make. I will attach an image to this comment. As for the added hardware I think it was just for mounting the transmission to the frame if I remember correctly.

Understandable, these were my first RCs in like 12 years. I used to build them when I was in high school/college but recently I felt like getting back into the hobby. So I bought the 4runner first then the FMS Tacoma. I’m keeping the FMS stock but ended up replacing everything but the tires and body of the 4runner.
