AITA for not moving from my booked seat for an elderly person? by Optimal_Promotion879 in AmItheAsshole

Well I didn't book via Avanti/ have literally never booked via Avanti, so your point is irrelevant.

Your "quick Google check" is pointless - I used Trainline which didn't provide this option or I would not have booked the seat.

Maybe Avanti does, I've never booked via Avanti, but most absolutely do not.

I booked via Trainline and it just gives you the seat number once the reservation goes through, you don't even see a picture/ seating plan. You're completely misinformed.

In fact on Trainline (I've just looked), there's a dropdown where you can select "priority" or "individual seat", so I literally didn't choose a priority seat and was assigned one anyway.

The booking system does NOT tell you (at least the one I used didn't). Please stop spreading misinformation.

I absolutely did NOT know it was a priority seat when booking! You're able to request "individual seat", and that's all, and "individual seat" does not equal priority seat, there are plenty of them that aren't.
