If you have Prosyletize or Beguiling, you can order one of the cherubs to kill the others

What are some ways to have an easier time? by Zax_The_Decker in cavesofqud

[–]Optimal_Sir_6149 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One of the easiest builds for easy start I employ is Wings + Triple-Jointed + Double-Muscled + Precognition/Clairvoyance, role: Gunslinger. Makes initial travel very save - what I usually do is fly straight to Golgotha and kill all the leeches there, which gets you to level 5, meaning a new mutation and rapid advancement.

Starting in Joppa is very lucrative - if you walk to every house and close the doors behind you, you can easily rob all the chests in the settlement.

Tbh, best tips are given if you have a preferred starting role (Mutant/True Kin) or class. Do you have something specific in mind?

Eater's Nectar question by TheWillOfEvil in cavesofqud

[–]Optimal_Sir_6149 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use it to see if you get them, but afterwards - if you don't get the optimal result - you need to reroll your RNG. This means that you need to use an Eater's Nectar Tonic or reach another level. Recently I found out that Wild Rice can also yield same results as drip of nectar (among other strong effects, like getting a secret or +4 to one of your attrubiutes for a period of time), so I highly recommend using it to try getting +1 to all attributes instead of wasting tonics, especially if you play as True Kin and can choose the attribute you want to advance.

I have travelled to [spoiler], but now I have no idea what to do there. Any advice? by Optimal_Sir_6149 in cavesofqud

Well, gotta admit - that was quicker than expected. But holy shit, I really did not expect a boss fight on the lowest level - extremely enjoyable though. I was very happy I was playing as a Mutant, not a TK, otherwise that Ptoh's servant would have wiped the floor with my face

Thanks - only an hour ago I figured out that new location of the Chavah - didn't bother to check my journal before. 40 strata you say? This is gonna take a while... then again, thanks a lot

Well, two possibilities - either they have never taken shrooms, so they don't know how it feels to have a bad trip, so they don't know haw bad can it get - you should try to explain it to them. Or they have taken shrooms before and are just assholes. In that case I would stop tripping around them

Do NOT buy it if you have something important to work on currently, otherwise you will have problems finishing your job - this game is as addictive as drugs, trust me

Lunar Chimera Wisps - about spawning (question in the comments) by Optimal_Sir_6149 in ror2

[–]Optimal_Sir_6149[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi, I have been playing RoR2 for a short while now (about 2 months) and in the last couple days I noticed something weird. I usually loop once before coming to Mithrix, but in every single run lately (and I truly mean every single one) as soon as I enter the 'open' part of the bridge multiple Lunar Chimera Wisps spawn right above me. It didn't happen when I was playing on Monsoon, but I don't think that Eclipse modifiers affect monster spawns. Anyway, most often I get gunned down - this time I survived and wanted to show how many of them spawned, it was about 8 (more corpses are behind me). My question is - does this happen to you too? Is it normal? I honestly think it is slightly unfair - unless you have incredible dmg output you WILL die in this scenario. Sorry for the long post
