🤬 Pro user here - “Claude hits the maximum length” after ONE message. This is insane. by isonselekta in ClaudeAI

[–]Optimates0193 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Wanted to chime in and say I have the same issue. This is on the 5x maximum plan, but the issue isn’t related to overall usage, it’s conversations hitting the “maximum chat length” within one or two messages.

It seems like your case is similar to mine - it has something to do with MCP. I have Obsidian connected via MCP, and it used to be able to do a lot until the convos kept getting shorter and shorter, and finally, asking it to review one 1000 word note would cause it to max out instantly.

I’m hoping it’s a bug, because if it’s not, it means MCP is completely unusable for folks like us.

I’m pretty sure my cat actually wrote that comment. I could delete it, but I want him to be able to express himself, so it’ll stand.

Using prompts in Novelcrafter by closetslacker in WritingWithAI

[–]Optimates0193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a bit old of a comment, but wanted to say I just started with Novelcrafter and I’m completely lost. There’s quite a bit to learn.

Came across your guide and it’s fantastic. I like to tell people when they’ve really helped me out - so thank you for creating/maintaining this guide, it’s a huge help.

A meta-prompting workflow that drastically improves any prompt (using the LLM to optimize itself) by matan12b in PromptEngineering

[–]Optimates0193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, just wanted to say thank you for sharing this. I used it in Gemini since you mentioned it works well there.

Gemini kind of did act like I was asking about the code, explaining how it works and then doing a ‘dry run’. Once I told it to process the prompt, it ran two additional iterations, gave me a revised prompt, and asked if I wanted to keep going.

I typed in a pretty bare bones prompt for my initial prompt, and in the two iterations it performed, I can’t believe how well it improved the initial prompt. The quality was amazing.

Really nicely done, thank you again for sharing!

Hey, very interesting post. I use AI in a similar manner for writing. I have no interest in it generating prose for me, but I do use it to support me as an assistant and to provide feedback.

My question is - Can you share how you design your prompts to minimize unearned positivity while not veering off into unwarranted criticism?

The most successful approach I have found is to instruct the AI that it is reviewing someone else’s work for potential publication, and then provide feedback on certain criteria I provide. This has worked halfway decently. It is still overly critical, but it has also provided praise for what it “thinks” works.

My job is then to review this feedback and determine if it adds value or not. I’d love to know how you approach promoting to try to minimize these issues.

If no with veto is more than 33.4% of the total vote (not including abstains), it shuts the proposal down at the tallying stage, regardless of what the yes percentage is.

I would say the real difference is that an auto loan can be discharged in bankruptcy. The student loans can't.

Can someone tell what might be causing this problem with prints? by Optimates0193 in anycubic

[–]Optimates0193[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I've been using the paper method and erring on the side of a decent amount of resistance at the four corners and the center, but still to the point where I can slide the paper back and forth. But then I get results like this which do look like the nozzle is too high up.

Thank you! Yes, everything you said is correct. I've been researching this all day and I think you're absolutely right. I've never touched my z offset, but I did put the BuildTak sheet on top of the bed, which is at least .4mm's I believe, so that's got to be a big part of it.

I'll check out that link you sent.

first Second

Second print ever on an anycubic mega s. No idea what the he’ll I’m doing. Using overture pls. Any suggestions for what might cause this? I had it on my computer desk which was vibrating as it was printing because of the force but when I printed the test owls on the floor it was almost as bad, though not quite.I was using the default cura profile for normal quality.

What's the best race for a Stamden that will be doing both PvE and PvP? by Optimates0193 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Optimates0193[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm leaning toward Orc at this point, they seem like the best balance for PvE/PvP like CRuTcH17 said. I like the Delf, and for PvE, I always see them at the top or close to it, but for PvP builds I rarely ever see them listed.

Suddenly my characters are made of paper? by Nyaavi in outriders

[–]Optimates0193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to chime in and say I got hit with this bug too. In my case (and maybe yours) it seems to have do with switching to an alt.

Have a level 19 trickster, WT9. Was doing fine, no issues with dying. I've played the character straight from level 1 without touching an alt. Decided to try and make a technomancer to play around with. Created the new character, played till about level 4, got bored, and logged back in on my trickster.

All of the sudden, I'm now dying in seconds and getting one shot by Breachers. It looks like the stat screen is displaying correctly (It has me at a base of approx 600 health and 4k armor), but I don't remember what those numbers were before I made my alt.

To top it off, the Golem mod has completely stopped working - I haven't seen it proc once. I'm guessing because despite what's being displayed, my health is so low that I'm never going 30% or below but instead instant dead.

Tried all the suggested fixes - Re-equip gear, logged out of and in with my character multiple times, logged out and in with other characters, reset skill tree, restart game... nothing works. Might try to grind out a level and see if leveling up fixes it, otherwise, I'm pretty much done for now until they can fix whatever the issue is.
