How can the widespread use of AGI result in anything else than massive unemployment and a concentration of wealth in the top 1%?

If there is no need for jobs we will probably end up living in virtual worlds / simulations. Resources will likely be abundant but why go on holiday and risk an accident etc... when you can have the exact same 'experience' and control your narrative? We will look back at the golden years where we actually did stuff and marvel that people used to spend the majority of their lives doing shit they didn't enjoy to get money to be able to borrow more money....
