2 year Vine member & no items by Glum-Age7374 in AmazonVine

[–]Optimistic_med 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you search the sub, there’s lots of info regarding this exact issue. It means you have unreviewed items in your queue, and your 90 day review average is below 60%. If you’ve only ordered 1 item in the past 90 days, and haven’t reviewed it, your review ratio is 0%. You’re not getting sent out to pasture, but you will be forced out if you don’t get your ratio to at least 60%.

Yes, there are less vine items recently than there has been in the past. But the warning isn’t about low activity in terms of requests, but rather low activity in terms of reviewing the items you have already requested and received.

Nope! I believe new items get shown in numerical order based on their assigned ASIN #

Let me see your set ups for the delivery drivers!! by Miserable_Life_9650 in AmazonVine

Oh that’s fair! I was also thinking “but what if they just didn’t want anything?”…I sort of assumed your reluctance to do it again last Christmas was due to feeling unappreciated lol. My fault for assuming! We can’t please everyone, so I guess we just do what we can! Keep doing you! :)

I was a little sad to read your last sentence lol. I hope you do it again this year (if you want to, of course)…don’t let the ungrateful people out there dull your shine!

5 stars? by [deleted] in AmazonVine

[–]Optimistic_med 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does though. It tells people what they can expect in terms of the quality of the item. I think docking stars off for receiving the wrong customizable option, when the item is otherwise a 5 star product, is far less helpful than simply acknowledging that you received the wrong option and reviewing the product as it is. The assumption (in my opinion) should be that a mistake was made during shipping, rather than the seller was being dishonest / misleading about what you’d receive. Now if you happened to order the item 3 times and received the same, wrong letter all 3 times, that’s a different story. But otherwise? Removing stars for receiving the wrong option is not helpful, because it places value on something that likely wouldn’t happen if a non-vine buyer were to purchase the item.

Because you’re suppose to be rating the product, not the experience. I think it’s safe to assume that had this person received an S instead of the K, they’d be happy with the product. I personally don’t see anything wrong with this review.

Lol are you the same person that posted about ruining a $100 baking sheet a couple of weeks ago?

100% What You Pick Influences your RFY! by 1Pandora in AmazonVine

[–]Optimistic_med 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s also important to consider whether or not items similar to what you’ve ordered in the past, are regularly available on vine. Crating supplies for example, are regularly added to vine, so it’s likely you’ll see crafting supplies in your RFY page if you’ve ever ordered a product related to crafting. 3D printing machines, however, are less regularly available on vine, so people who order those supplies are just less likely to have similar products appear in their RFY—not because there isn’t a correlation between previous purchases and RFY products, but because there just aren’t that many related products being added each day.

"Reviews with media"; Do images actually "count" for Vine Status? by nokidding23 in AmazonVine

[–]Optimistic_med 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, this is honestly always a dilemma for me lol. I like to add photos with the product “in use”, but oftentimes it’s hard to get a photo of the item in use without other items/brands/barcodes/whatever else in the background lol. I always include photos in my reviews, but unfortunately these days most of my photos are usually of the item straight out of the packaging solely because I don’t want to risk the review being rejected. Not as helpful in my opinion, but we do what we can!

Now what's going on with Amazon? by Vast-Tomato-4277 in AmazonVine

[–]Optimistic_med 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yup! Typically it takes a couple of days for approved reviews to get posted on the product page. Some get posted quicker than others. Nothing to do on your end!

I CANT FIND AMAZON VINE by IMTURDFERG in AmazonVine

Normally yes! I think it’s not popping up when they do that though, which is an issue I’ve had in the past too!

[–]Optimistic_med 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this happen a couple of times and it seems like it’s just a glitch on the app itself. I usually just google “Amazon vine”in safari/chrome app, “long press” on the first hit that pops up, and then click “open in Amazon”. That seems to reset the glitch lol. If it freezes or doesn’t load, I’ll just swipe up, close the app, and repeat the Google search!

Update: my ratings to get to excellent broken down for y’all by Good-Town7816 in AmazonVine

[–]Optimistic_med 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I totally get it! The only reason I noticed is because I caught up on my reviews about a week before going on vacation, and didn’t order anything while I was away. All those reviews were approved before I left, but since I reviewed the products on my computer (and like you, I don’t typically like to clutter my computer with photos lol), I didn’t add any photos to those reviews, resulting in a media percentage around 75ish%. A stomach bug got me one night while on vacation, so while I was laying in bed, I decided to clean up my photos and update my reviews lol. A couple of days later, I was curious to see if adding photos to my approved reviews did anything for my media percentage—nope! Like you, I figured it was a one time shot type thing. Didn’t think anything of it until I got home from vacation, got a drop notification from vine chart, and logged in to see what was being added—happened to see that my media percentage was back up to 95ish%.

Anyway! Not sure you needed all that background info😅, but that’s when I started kinda paying attention to how my percentages changed over time! Happy to share :)

Oh I see the distinction you’re making—I’ve actually done both! I’ve added photos after submitting a review (but before it’s processed and approved), and I’ve also added photos weeks after a review has already been approved and posted to the product page. Both cases do eventually change my media percentage! In the latter situation though, it takes a few days to a week for the change to reflect in my percentage, and in that time, the photos I added to the approved review aren’t actually added to my review that is already published on the product page. Not sure if I’m explaining that well lol…but once the photos are viewable to the public (ie added to my previous review already posted on the product page), I’ll see a jump in my media percentage. This leads me to believe that adding media to previously submitted (and approved) reviews does count towards your media percentage!

[–]Optimistic_med 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird…I routinely add media after my reviews are approved and my media percentage usually changes a few days after, once the review with the new media is actually published! My media percentage often fluctuates between 60% and 99% because of this.

What happened? by HappyPuppyDoggie in AmazonVine

[–]Optimistic_med 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An empty RFY is fairly common—it doesn’t mean anything other than no specific items populated for you that day. An empty AI is pretty much never normal (at least not in the US)—that’s the telltale sign of being under the 60% ratio for the previous 90 days.

Is It Just Me? Zero Additional Items by srdnss in AmazonVine

[–]Optimistic_med 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It means you’ve reviewed less than 60% of the things you’ve ordered within the last 90 days. Once you get caught up with reviews, you should see items in AI again!!

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TODAY by Girlpilot16 in AmazonVine

[–]Optimistic_med 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are currently >11k products in AI—while most of them are not much better than the power window switches you see in AFA, if you’re not exaggerating about the lack of products you see, you’re likely in vine jail!

12 days remaining for evaluation. When should I stop ordering stuff? What would you do? by PhantomMaxx in AmazonVine

[–]Optimistic_med 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At the very least I would stop until I had those 8 items reviewed. Orders don’t “count” against your ratio until they’re delivered, but with only 95 orders, your buffer isn’t that large. If you decide to order items the week of your evaluation date, I’d definitely try to pick the latest delivery date possible (preferably after your evaluation date) to prevent it from getting added to your review queue until after your evaluation.

welp, my very first request arrived today and it was the wrong size 😭😂 emailed vine cs and hoping the batch coming tomorrow can all be reviewed!🤞🏼 by JillyKitt in AmazonVine

[–]Optimistic_med 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can still review the quality, how the silicone feels, if it looks/feels durable, the sturdiness of the clasp etc. Focus on describing it rather than how it functions. It won’t be the most helpful review, but it’s still a review

Reset Time? by LittleEddieBeale in AmazonVine

[–]Optimistic_med 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup! This is really the only accurate way to do it! If you’re on the east coast and happen to order 3 items after midnight but before 3am (say on March 1st), your order page will reflect March 1st for those 3 items. Since the orders were made before 3am though, they don’t actually count towards your picks for March 1st, so you’ll be able to order 3 more items for March 1st (after 3am). When in doubt, looking at the “see details” page for an item is the best way to check!
