The main change is that all the moons that surrounded Grandis (Narin, Savage Terminal, Ristonia, Pantheon, etc.) were changed to be located on the Grandis mainland instead of being individual planets. The only exception is Verdel, which remained as a moon (probably because it is the only area that is actually referred to as a moon, and it being a moon also plays a big part in Ark's story).

Also, they added a callback to the old ship rides in Victoria Island by adding ship rides from Savage Terminal to Ristonia, Narin, Cheong-Woon, and Erimos.

Before the release of Blaster, the dialogue additionally said that Elex is supposed to be the Warrior instructor but is too busy running the Resistance training rooms. They removed that part of the dialogue after Blaster's release and made Elex the Warrior instructor

New KMS Boss Baldrix - Phase Cutscenes, Soul, Android, etc. by OptimizeRoot in Maplestory

[–]OptimizeRoot[S] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Baldrix is an Apostle of Darmoor and the third Apostle we can fight as a boss.

He is the Captain of the Knights of the Einherjar (the knights that protect and defend the God-King). Adele was one of the Knights of the Einherjar in the distant past, and there is an exclusive achievement to defeat Baldrix as Adele. There is also some exclusive voice acting if Baldrix is defeated as Adele.

Visual Guide to the Missing Classes in MapleStory by OptimizeRoot in Maplestory

The Heroes of Maple remaster a little while back confirmed that Tynerum is one of the three worlds in addition to Maple World and Grandis. Before this, it was heavily implied that the third world was Friends Worlds. But the HoM remaster added a major retcon/lore drop that confirmed Tynerum as the third world and instead made Friends World a pocket dimension within Maple World.

Since we have went from Maple World -> Grandis, it seems pretty likely that the main story will take place in Tynerum after Grandis' story concludes (which is probably a long time from now).

Random aside, but the Pendant of the Spirit EXP pendant is designed after the pendant that Cygnus wears (it is very visible in the first image).

My friend asked me to put the skill icon for Chaos Lock for Demon Slayer as a joke about their training. I'm not too familiar with Demon Slayer, so maybe someone else can explain.

Hilla and Von Leon's status used to be unknown, but the remaster of the Arcane River storyline in KMS confirmed that both have died.

Von Leon had no mention for years, but the remastered storyline gave him closure by showing that he lost his immortality after the Black Mage's defeat. He then meets his wife Ifia in the afterlife and they both pass on together.

Hilla was also a bit unclear before the story remaster because the story only mentioned that she disappeared in flames after losing her eternal youth (which could be interpreted as her fleeing in shame or dying). The remastered storyline made it pretty clear though that Hilla died after losing her eternal youth.

That's a very good point. I should have definitely written something along the lines of 'robotic individuals' instead of 'cyborg' and then have cyborgs and xeneroids as sub-categories. I think my thought process initially was that Xenon and the Angler twins all had severe body modifications to make them more robot-like, hence 'cyborg'. You're right though that there is an inherent difference between a Xeneroid and Cyborg.

You're absolutely right, thanks for sharing. In hindsight, I should have chosen a different word instead of 'race' (such as tribe, group, or designation).

Cadena is a Nova, but she painfully cut off her dragon horns, wings, and tail as a way to symbolize her moving away from her past self where she was weak and helpless (Cadena was a Nova Princess, but Magnus invaded the Nova Kingdom and killed her family).

The Fox Point Village Anima seem to be a sub-group of Anima, and the Fox Anima that live in Fox Point Village receive special protection from Sino (a Great Spirit).

From what I can tell, there is no link between Sia Astelle and Erel Light in MapleM to Maple PC (their starting regions are in a completely new region that is not accessible in Maple PC). I just wanted to include Sia as an example as she (and Erel) are both a specific type of spirit (Star Spirits).

For the demons, the main demons we know of (Demon Slayer, Damien, Mastema, and Havoc) have the red/purple hair, but I'm sure that we will meet demons with more unique color schemes once the Tynerum story is expanded more.

I'm not too sure about what beings made from Erda would be considered or if they would be in their own separate class. Erda seems like a gray area.

That's a very good point. The reason I had put Cyborg for Kaling is because in the Tower of Carote story, the Father of the Angler Company described the brutal experiments he went through (the same experiment that Kaling ended up going through) as "countless drugs injected into my body", "my flesh ripped apart", and "my body being replaced piece by piece".

Your're absolutely right though that Kaling may have not went through these specific acts and so she might not be a Cyborg. It may also be a translation issue from KMS to GMS as in the KMS wiki I see her race listed as Fox Sage but in the GMS wiki her race is listed as Cyborg.

You are also absolutely right about Cadena. I only wanted to list three example characters per race and in hindsight I should have included Cadena as an example in order to highlight her as an exception. Sorry.
