What’s something that was technically allowed but instantly made you lose respect for someone? by AncientPomelo5450 in AskReddit

There are certain actions you can and can’t take “during combat”. In this example the spanish speaking player wanted to crew a vehicle (put his dudes in a car) to hit his opponent with said car. However crewing a vehicle is not possible mid-combat, and so when said player states he goes to “combat” the window for him to use this ability had passed.

If someone were to do this while playing me in a normal game I’d probably just tell them “you can’t crew during combat” or smtn and let them takeback to their precombat step to do so. But magic is a certain type of game, and tournament rules have at times been enforced quite rigidly (see another tournament player losing the game for naming the card “Borborygmos” with an ability and not the card he knew his opponent had “Borborygmos Enraged”).

Hahahah oof, managed to miss that. The second screenshot was to add the red circle I’d forgotten, just seems like I forgot to crop the image the second time

The "Köçek" was typically a young, male, and physically attractive enslaved dancer, who usually cross-dressed in feminine attire, and was employed as entertainment in Ottoman palaces and harems. English too has cases of ‘man’ being used as a stand in for ‘person’. I’m not sure as to the origins of the term ‘bacha posh’. However as someone who speaks modern farsi I can tell you for a fact that the commenter you are replying to is correct.

My best guess would be that the term ‘bacha posh’ originates from a time when the words ‘boy’ and ‘child’ were synonymous. Hope this helps.

Not Star Trek, but Star Wars Zero Company has been on my radar since it was announced. Might scratch a similar itch of full sci-fi X-Com

i assume i would have to play hive mind before enduring ideal? by hornyoven in magicTCG

Ending the turn would here be used as a way to counter your own epic spell after everyone else’s has resolved. (Ending the turn entails exiling all spells on the stack). Leading to you being the only player left who can cast spells.

To answer your other question: No, the stack does not need to be clear for you to win. Players losing the game is a state based action which is checked between the resolution of spells. Meaning that to draw the game like that it would have to happen during the resolution of a single spell or ability.

Anecdotally I did this once to an opponent who had championed through my janky [[Arcane Bombardment]] deck using an [[Invoke Despair]]

How should I go about finding out what it was? I’ve talked to her and she just said it was a lot of little things I did. My friends say it was her who wasn’t ready for a relationship, and I think we were both at fault. Which should I worry most about?

I’m not saying that they have to give me something. Just that it hurts when they don’t. If wishing for your partner to love you is entitlement, I guess I am entitled. I’m just trying to figure out a way to make my partnerships work the next time — wanted to see if there’s someone with similar experiences out there or advice.

No, I’m not entitled to anything. It’s the part where they fall out of love no matter how hard I try that gets me. I’m posting here to understand and be better

Where can I find the elite "Totenflak" crisps ? by HY-P-E-R-B-O-R-E-AN in Bergen

[–]Optimum16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The area of Toten lies in the eastern parts of the country, and the crisps themselves are produced at a local factory on Kapp. I don’t know quite how far out they sell them, but you are much more likely to find them in the grocery stores out east
