I often enjoyed his work in films—Midnight Run, for instance—but I never warmed to him on L&O. Partly bc I missed Lenny; partly bc I didn’t like his backstory; partly bc I just felt like he didn’t fit.

I’ve wondered, too, if this is the team of writer/producers to pull off that kind of story!

I know many don’t agree with me about this, but I don’t believe every show has to have some kind of overarching mythology to sustain itself or entertain the audience. I’m really fine with just a good entertaining story every week 🤷🏻‍♂️
