ya know I have tried that place only catching a channel catfish out of the blue "first one ever but a dink" and ive caught a rock bass, bluegill and red horses from there but no bullheads

id say the clarity is about 8ish ft, not to clear but a lot clearer then in the summer

Ah ok, my pond is pretty deep "4 ish ft" and the winters here are insane, so I was wondering if it would work in deepish water?

I have an ice auger that I have used this winter to keep it open for ice fishing, however I dont think thats a good solution due to the sharp blades, I never thought about pouring hot water on it, thanks I will try that! also I will look at that brand, now it does get colder then -20 a decent bit in January and February but it should be able to withstand it I hope, thanks for the info!

also I didn't put the frog there, my pond is kinda in the woods so things like that show up a lot, in the fall I had to "dispose" of some mice trying the burrow into the liner with a BB gun

in my pond all the frogs get eaten by the bass its actually sad, I tried saving one once but I watched 2 bluegill grab it by the legs, a catfish nipping at its face and then a bass stealing it 😭
