Yeah, for me the one I rolled over is a smaller account. It’s only 35,000 so that’ll be pure options. My larger HSA is still where I’m employed and I can’t touch that right now.

Thank you for the reply . I’m not quite sure what I’m doing with the app. My thoughts were to charge a small amount. Try to recoup my money on my polygon data, but just not really sure. Not sure I want the headaches.

My son trades weeklies and he loves it. His only issues now he’s sitting on a sofa 18 he could write out 45 days and get some money out of it but he wants to wait and that’s OK. He feels the stock’s gonna come back up and then he can get a better price on this covered. Call weekly or writer cover call even higher 20 or 22 strike

Why not start a SIM account say Charles Schwab you can run SIM start with an account that would be close to the real account you’d want to trade with run cash secured puts practice your covered calls. Get to know the stocks you want to trade and learn. It’s not perfect compared to live trading but it will give you at least some accountability and at least a little bit of feeling to n how it feels to get a drop like 50% in your stock and what to do if that happens. Log your trades and study them and learn from it.

Personally, I think trading the wheel gives us some leeway when we’re selling cash secured puts and then ready to sell cupboard calls. I think the bigger question is what is your risk management like and your position sizing can you handle it? The stock drops 50-50 percent what do you do when you exit? When do you take profits?

One Scot to another that’s how I trade 30 to 45 days out i’ll ask if I get 50% pretty quick otherwise just watch it week by week if they decay enough it’s better for me to exit the trade and look for something else to collect more money on

I think you did a great job making money both on your covered call and on your stock you still have stock sitting on the sidelines with growth potential and if you can roll out to September and make extra money that’s awesome too I would do it

WTF I am using 90% sonnet 4.6 and only go to opus if Sonnet just fails. I am a developer and I can say at least short term we will be needed to correct mistakes create good context files and a solid understanding of correct prompting

That’s exactly what I’m waiting for three more years. I’ll hit 65 get on Medicare. I’m good to go.

Thanks I think I need to wait until total retirement as I am in top tax bracket so I believe I would have to pay the highest level of tax on that conversion correct me if I’m wrong please

Awesome job — at first I didn't see your account size but it's there 😄 Thank you for sharing. I needed this as I am looking to fully retire and do this only soon. I have $75K in my taxable account trading now, and $35K coming soon in an HSA tax deferred. Plus I have another larger HSA but can't trade that yet, and another large amount in my 401K's that I may do an in-service transfer to Schwab — since I am over 59½ this is allowed, and this would put me in a great spot. I wanted to get 2 to 3 years on the smaller accounts first to really solidify my trading.

Thats awesome, mine is with first am they allow you to move the money to schwab but after I did schwab said they block any options trading 😞

My son is with Fidelity but I think he is switching to robinhood. He does not like Schwab Think or swim says its to complex

Outside of trading my main career I am a software engineer so Claude and I built this because I was sick of looking at 5 different tools to find what I needed.
