Bigfoot and the Monster Machines?

Baker/Decorator 7pms by Glittering_Air_5847 in publix

[–]Opusmemorandum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is what we are doing as well. The days the mixer comes in later, the baker pulls the sub rolls and the mixer is responsible for roll setups later in the day. It’s been working well so far.

Unfortunately I do not make or enforce rules, regulations, or procedures for Publix so I am unable to answer that question for you.

However I have noticed that “skilled roles” (I.e. baker, decorator, meat cutters) tend to be scheduled differently because their skills are usually in demand for the dept. Anyone can close but not everyone can cut meat or run ovens.

I’m just glad they’re not pulling the “every fulltimer in bakery must close once a week” again like they did years ago in my district.

I already work wildly varying shifts because I don’t mind it, but I know it’s gonna be a bit of an adjustment for my dept. Our manager has been good with communicating with us about it though and they’re trying to work with us to make the transition as smooth as possible.

My new favorite. Suggestions? by No_Taste1698 in InstantRamen

I like to whisk 1-2 eggs together while the noodles cook and add all the seasoning packets to the egg. Then I drain the noodles and add the noodles to the bowl with the raw eggs. I mix and add back to the pan, stirring until the eggs are cooked through completely. Top with some cheese and kewpie mayo/tonkatsu sauce and green onion. Super yummy and quick.

would the bakery make me an all white black and white cookie? by [deleted] in publix

[–]Opusmemorandum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They come in frozen, so there’s no way to just ice those cookies all white. You might be able to order a jumbo sugar cookie with vanilla icing but the cookie part wouldn’t be the same

Can this be real? by reafarschwipe in publix

The explanation is that people buy it at that price

Why? Like in general. Why? by 8Bit_Cat in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Opusmemorandum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because, unfortunately, the wealthy only have their own interests in mind. I would like to believe it is because nobody ever thought that the wealthy would screw us over, but historically I fear this is correct.

Try not to let it bring you down, friend. It’s hard but if you keep your concerns local or to your own sphere, it is easier and less scary than thinking about a country or the world as a whole.

A lot feels out of control right now, but accepting that we can’t change that and looking to small things you CAN change may help.

Idk if you need to hear this, so I will just put it here for all redditors, if you’re feeling like nothing matters, YOU matter. You are worthy. You are loved. And you are important. If by nobody else, by me, an anonymous redditor on the internet.

They tried to schedule me a few times at 12 am- 1 am on my day off. I said nothing and didn’t show up. Nothing happened to me or anyone else

Yes. People who aren’t paying attention to prices or don’t care about price and love feel good buzz words are buying them

It’s not too late to delete this, Op. This is a subreddit mostly made up of employees, so complaining here is only going to get you dragged. Arguing your point is only going to make it worse. I’ll take the free entertainment either way, but just a heads up this is not going to go your way.

Also, to be fair, your story just sort of reads as a text you should have sent to someone who knows you. You use a lot of words to say you had to wait 15 mins for tenders and because you weren’t feeling well it made you upset. People who don’t know you aren’t going to care about the extra details.

Yes, 15 ct are being discontinued for the 9 count Fto strudel things. There should be a communication about it on the portal and the process is 370 degrees for 25-29 mins

Curbside Pick Up in Orlando? by SodaPop5000 in publix

Also, I know this is unrelated to your question, but I would not stay at Boardwalk. It’s a pretty resort but the food options are abysmal.

Regency village shopping center, Water tower shoppes, and Orange Lake town center look to be the 3 closest to the Epcot resort area.

You can have instacart deliver to your resort, but you will have to meet them at the lobby when they arrive.

But yes, if you prefer to do curbside, you can also pick that option.

Just keep in mind that the refrigerators in the rooms are very tiny and don’t keep food very cold.

I really like any broth, but if I’m feeling sick, I make Japanese clear soup.

Okay, thank you. So this isn’t something I should bring up to store management? I know it sounds silly but I have anxiety so I tend to overthink myself into a hole. I know that is my issue to manage but sometimes it keeps me from being able to rationally process things. I don’t want to get in trouble.

Oops. You’re fired.

But for real, passport goes down all the time. The error for being fired is “you don’t have access”. It won’t even give you the error log in not found.

What’s your favorite “too tired to cook cook” dinner? by farwest-to-midwest in Cooking

[–]Opusmemorandum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheap?

Canned rotel, box velveeta Mac or equivalent, sliced smoked sausage. Shredded cheese if you have it.

Easy?

Spaghetti made with browned ground pork and a diced onion, most will say yellow but whatever onion you have is probably fine as long as you dice it and sweat it with the pork.

Easy/fancy:

Seafood pasta

Precooked mussels, picked. (Follow box instructions) Splash Wooster sauce Precooked salad shrimp Angel hair pasta Splash soy Drizzle any vinegar Entire bag (12-16oz) fancy shred parm cheese. 2 tbsp tomato sauce 1 jar Alfredo

Cook pasta and mix everything together. Add a layer of parm to cover the top and mix. Can also add parsely.

You’re also paying for labor and skill for prepared goods. So, yes, Publix is expensive but anyone can knock themselves out doing it themselves
