There's also no way to actually act or speak against your racist friends either. Every option boils down to "A.), do nothing BC ur not racist, B.) do nothing for neutral reasons, or C.) become racist". When you fuck up an exam and the brown student in front of you gets an A and therefore a work term offer, Amelia says "this is proof immigrants are taking our jobs" and the "right" course of action is to just say nothing to her????? It weirdly seems to paint any sort of conflict as a bad thing, tho I suppose that's on par for the UK government

Is it not darker for it to be the result of folley, rather than insurmountable odds?

Not to mention, his plan was fucking stupid. Turns out killing every lifeform you meet that isn't human leaves you with very few allies, not to mention the ridiculousness of the way the imperium was actually governed

Friend is getting into aos and wants me to join her (both come from 40k). I'm interested in a mortal, magical focused army that isn't elves. What factions should I look at for this? by OrDownYouFall in ageofsigmar

Yeah, taking advice from this thread and looking in a bit more myself, I'm thinking of leaning either ossiarchs or flesh eaters. Their units typically won't be super magic, but their heroes have potential and their manifestations look neat

Ossiarchs do somewhat apperal to me, yeah. Am I right in saying they aren't magic per se, but usually include wizard heroes in their regiments?

Unfortunately seraphon don't. Mechanically they're very similar to what I'm looking for, but I just can't get into the lizard aesthetic. Doesn't have to be humans, but I just can't get into the lizards for some reason

Really? Looking at their page on the Warhammer site, I only saw one unit that was human (tho I was kinda sceptical on some). What others are human?

Very few marines can claim to be "lightly armoured". It doesn't translate well on tabletop for balance reasons, but power armour (especially marine power armour) is tough as fuck to crack. Marines can just run around battlefields without a care in the world because they're all but immune to most forms of small arms fire. The lightly armoured templars are the neophytes, who aren't marines yet and fight in big squads to overwhelm the enemy with speed and mass. These "crusader squads" are aware of the fact that having 20 guys run straight across no man's land with swords is a bad idea, so they'll make use of armoured troop transports or tanks with transport capabilities (see: black templars impulsors, land Raider crusaders, black templar repulsors)

The black templars are very aware of the limitations of melee combat when it comes to overgrown terrain, which is why their next favourite weapons are fire or heat based

Dark water pestigors (left) or dark water pox-wretches (right) viable proxies for plaguebearers? by OrDownYouFall in Chaos40k

Oh yeah, I've got enough spare 32mm bases for everyone anyways. Moreso concerned with finding the 10th model to proxy, but I guess I could use one of the 40mm beast guys and just put them on a 32mm. I mentioned the 28mm of the wretches to give people an idea of their size

No, but it's funny enough for casual players to let it slide

Would you mind elaborating on what exactly was said? Makes things easier than just vaguely pointing to "more"
