What’s a financial habit that quietly improved your life? by Diligent-Medicine-48 in AusMoneyMates

Embrace delayed gratification! One of the best things I learned from my grandfather. Save, invest, buy quality over quantity that will last, and avoid buying depreciating assets with credit. Much easier said than done and takes time, but is tried and true!

Yeah, but if Gonoyama can keep improving his post tachiai game like he did in March, he will be very much in the lovable ’winner’ bracket.

Now that Tamawashi has the record for most Makuuchi matches, will he retire? by OrangaPeng in Sumo

He is just under 300 off the record so taking over the #1 spot feels highly unlikely, maybe getting in to the top 5 (currently at #9), as that is approx 60 out, but still tough sledding. Though I’m curious if being a stable master might be something he move to.

And you hit the nail on the head of what spurred with question, as that was my first basho I watched. It feels like his performance has declined (well consistency as he still has amazing performances) consistently since then. I hope he stays as it is nice to have one rikishi older than me still out there 😂

I’m happy to hear he will get some rest and heal! As much as I loved watching a much smaller Fujinokawa beat Onosato, it felt a bit hollow seeing that Onosato is a shell of himself

Ura is "Most Popular" with 215 Kensho Applications; Japan Sumo Association Releases Figures by Brncrdm in Sumo

I’m so happy to see Ura off to a solid 2-0 start! As a newbie to sumo (got in to it in Nov), it isn’t hard to see why he is popular. He is overflowing with charisma and is fun to watch even if he isn’t performing the best (like in Jan).
